of the Teaming with Microbes series

"I am impressed! I find Regenerative Soil Microscopy to be especially timely. This book will fuel the renaissance in microscopy that is currently underway globally.

Regenerative Soil Microscopy is of exceptional quality with instructions and many micrographs that will help explorers of soil biology to use microscopy and interpret what they see in their microscopes. This book must have taken several years to develop.”

I just saw him at TSP23. His presentation was amazing.

With the cooler temperature and getting some rain, it was time to get the broccoli transplanted. The brussels sprouts went into wicking tubs

Been a busy couple of days so no posting. I've gotten faster at a compressor change out but I still need to up my game. In my defense, my gauges said it was 106 degrees in the shade, so maybe that slowed me down a bit.

The new hens are getting bullied by the roosters, but they have gotten quicker at getting out of the way. All the poultry enjoy afternoon bath time when I fill up a tub with water, especially the ducks (go figure). The garden has stopped and is basically in maintenance mode. Except for the sorghum and the sweet potatoes. I have to figure out when the sorghum is ready to harvest. And my fall seeds have arrived.

More chickens. It turns out the two barred rock hens were roosters, and one of other hens died. Three roosters and two hens isn't going to work. So we got five red star hens today. I originally planned on four but didn't want to leave the last one by herself. Oh, and the two barred rock will be graduating once it cools off a bit. #grownostr #homesteading #poultry

Was on a service call and this was the customers pet. African tortoise about 15 years old. I thought it was cool. #grownostr #pets

Maybe it's time I got the ducks a bigger pool. #grownostr #homesteading

Now that the heat has really climbed and the rain has stopped, the spring garden is winding down. The tomatoes did well this year but all my cucurbits got a virus from cucumber beetles. Sweet potatoes and sorghum are still going strong. #grownostr #homesteading #garden

That's a big walking stick! #grownostr #garden
