When AlbyHub on the start9 marketplace?
Any recommendations for "parental control" on a network level? I have a GliNet with parental control and adguard enabled, but it's so slow and limited. #asknostr
The older the kids, the more time I spend with network and admin stuff
I would recommend the newest Pixel for your price range. It will get updates for longer. The a model is the cheapest option, and they are usually good enough.
Does reporting help in any way or is it a waste of time?
That is an extensive resource. Thank you.
Do you have any information about carnivore and MS?
I urgently have to revive my website. My PFP and nip05 obviously disappeared
My backup list has 21 relays... I should trim it down, mobile is overheating
I nuked my relay list... again
I did that from time to time and it was quite interesting. Nowadays, I don't care enough to spend my time with that.
I switched to a logitech mx master 3s. How could this happen?
Problem solved. The ad lists were not updating. Anyway, it's crazy how many ads there are now. Brave is not my main browser, similar reasons, but it's still useful at times.
brave, ublock, pihole
I've tried to watch the dhh, primeagen video on youtube bc of reasons. I stopped after 3 ad breaks in 10 minutes. Looks like their ad blocking circumvention is getting better.
I can't believe people still line up for iPhones on launch day.
I have NUCs and Beelinks and the Beelinks are far better. Setup and forget. They just work and take anything I throw at them.
My first Samsung experience was bad, really bad. Don't know how anyone can buy this crap. I just returned a fitness watch. I simply couldn't connect the watch to the phone and the watch itself is not usable at all without phone. You can't even pass the language selection. At least let me setup the basics and see the time, but apparently not with your Samsung overlords.
First you'll have to create an account, but for that you'll have to use the edge browser. All others are not supported even tho they are stated as supported. If you manage to master that step, you'll have to download additional plugins to continue the process. Next you'll have to check many checkboxes to transfer them your soul and if you're lucky and get past those screens without crashing, it will prompt for permissions. And it wants all of them, but even after you surrender, it will fail to continue the process because it's missing something so I gave up. My curiosity is not strong enough to spend any more time on this. Even if I would have succeeded at this point, I wouldn't use this intrusive piece of crap.
Some services left for tomorrow, but most important thing is to revive my page on a new provider.
Proxmox and umbrel free. It was a good time and I've learned a lot this past year, but my new setup is just simple and straightforward. More time for other stuff. I still run a now non virtualized start9 diy. Let's see for how long.
One proxmox instance down. ¡Viva la simplicidad!
That looks like a lot of zaps and happy people.
Changing my local server setup again. For some reason start9 keeps crashing since I've setup a second VM on that proxmox instance. Wasn't a thing I was looking for, but as I would do some things differently after the learnings from the past year, it seems the better time sink than continue debugging.
Is this the pet rock jamie dimon was talking about?
Seems like the password manager pass has not many mobile users, which is sad. I've found only two apps, pass for iOS and passwordstore for android, but they seem quite abandoned. At least on android it somehow works and the older version even supports Yubico keys. On iOS I gave up.
Digital decluttering also has something satisfying
