As a parent, I think those parents simply don't care. Same reason kids run around the store making the wage slaves' lives harder.

They wish. Oh, they wish.

To be a Muslim, you have to believe in God. We wouldn't have so many Marx-like fanatics if we didn't have a glut of secular thought running around.

Either you make your website offend them, or find a way to filter them out.

My personal recommendation is to discuss philosophy on your site, specifically what defines the essence of true manliness. Gets rid of them fast.

Liberal arts doesn't go far enough: if you want to understand what the other 80% of people think, hang out with them instead of reading about them.

The fact that liberal arts is a recommendation for resolving bias is, effectively, a non-inclusive solution, and should be more controversial.

You're not wrong, and it is most certainly a forced monopoly (my essay I wrote a while back at https://notageni.us/ip).

The key is that it's supposed to be a *temporary* monopoly, which gives freedom for the idea-maker to build meaningful things with what they discovered.

THAT breaks down in 2 ways:

1. It's often not temporary (e.g., Disney keeps extending copyright to forever minus a day).

2. Instead of helping creators, IP can suppress competition (e.g., patent trolls).

I can explain that one somewhat, if your theory is true: nature has redundant self-correcting systems we don't even know about.

I could ramble on and on about how many systems exist in nature and social science that create negative feedback loops to bring things back to stasis. I won't imply it was designed, but it's hard to believe there's zero overhead management of this thing we call "existence".

That gives them too much credit. If they wanted to do that, the weather would start giving accurate reports.

The weather right now is about 80% accurate. But, if you scrub away the obvious sunny/rainy days, it becomes 44% accurate, less reliable than flipping a coin or disbelieving the daily weather.

Is a cup of Joe even legal in all 50 states? It sounds like something that needs government approval.
