Haven’t tried it, but I’ve read that you can flash OpenWRT to a UniFi access point.

Have had an ad-blocker for a while now, started with pi-hole but ended up switching to AdGuard, I believe I switched because it was more compatible with Home Assistant, but not sure. Anyways, 100% family approval rating over here, when I switch the blocker off and forget to turn it back on, the fam tells me they don’t know how we ever lived without it!

Then there’s also the Librem 5 and Liberty Phone, but those are so high priced.

I was pining for one as well. (Not really to that extent, but I couldn’t resist the pun.) I’ve seen so many people say they aren’t a daily driver though, that it’s made me hesitant. I really like the concept of privacy switches. The Murena 2 has also incorporated privacy switches, but I doubt using Google apps with micro G is as private as a FOSS App Store.

It’s so exciting that this conversation has hinged on the definition of the word *this* two times now! Coincidence or providence? *This* generation described in Matthew 24:34, is the generation that sees the “Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven” Matthew 24:30. Not only do they see His coming, but all the tribes of the earth are described as mourning.

“8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8

I can’t prove this without a shadow of a doubt using scripture. But I’m inclined to believe the earth in its current form will persist for 6,000 years and the millennial reign will be a type of sabbath for 1,000 years. If this is true, then we should be close to His coming, based on the number of years since the first Adam.

The *this* that ends, is financial diversity and private transactions, what most convos on here revolve around. Consequently, this verse will also outline for many, when there freedom to choose Christ will end, for anyone who aligns with the Beast cannot be redeemed (Revelation 14:9-11). The first verses that I referenced don’t outline the end of everything, which technically doesn’t exist. Human souls will persist forever (longer than typos on Nostr ;)), they will persist in a literal and eternal Hell or a literal and eternal Heaven (Daniel 12:2). Earth will persist, but not the one we currently inhabit, this one will be consumed by fire and replaced (2 Peter 3:7)(2 Peter 3:13)(Revelation 21:1).

Nintendo should release its own video streaming service, hear me out... With the controversy currently surrounding Disney, there is an opening in the market for a new champion to emerge in children’s video entertainment. Nintendo owns a vast franchise library of games and characters, they already have 2 theme parks (with 2 more in the works); how about a video streaming service full of cartoons/movies/music featuring their beloved characters/games? Who else would pay for this?

Did some more research on this. Geolocation doesn’t work if “significant locations” is turned off. Tried it on my phone and sitting in my living room it prompted a delay before disable, as if I wasn’t home. Also, Apple Pay still works with passcode even with this feature enabled (didn’t test this, but found it in the About page). Something to keep in mind since Apple is opening Apple Pay to rival devs…. Maybe a path to make #BTC more mainstream?

I’m loving the sound of this new feature. But it still weirds me out that like every news site does Apples bidding now. Headlines be like: “Update your iPhones now!” Also, one site said the feature toggles on and off based on your geolocation/distance from home. I already know our phones are constantly watching/tracking us, but I can’t help but feel more “features” get packed into each update than what’s advertised. For instance, Apple was enabling client side scanning on devices, but supposedly stopped moving forward after public backlash. Yet, a new feature has appeared on phones to alert you if you receive an “inappropriate” photo. Says it’s a toggle to use, but that means we still got client side scanning added to our devices under a different name.
