I can only tell why I watched the docu, wouldn’t just recommend it like that. I celebrated at parties to their music; I am a product of pop culture and wanted to understand what I was subconsciously consuming. Additionally, I had strange vibes about some of the artists…
Once you start examining your own traumas, you come to realize that life is often about trauma + re-enactment of trauma.This perspective helped me to objectify but I must say, this docu series is quite hard to digest. I'm here to talk if you choose to watch it.
One evening I thought I would watch the R Kelly documentary, took me a whole bottle of wine and three sleepless nights to get over what I have seen. The people mentioned here were friends with him. Maybe a group of ppl with the same mindset? It had to start somewhere and they were a power music money friendship gna gna power pack for a very long time.
