Retired first responder, Dad, business developer, husband to She. Boldly live out your faith

Thanks for your honesty. May I recommend Secret Thoughts of An Unlikely Convert by Rosaria Butterfield. She has quite a story you may appreciate.

Not sure about Catholic doctrine however the Westminster Shorter Catechism question 1 is: What is the chief end of man? A: the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. So, marrying and having a family does glorify God, the family enjoys the blessing of children and the cycle continues. Having six children, two who are adopted changed my life for the better. Do it brother. This little girls changed my heart👇. Another absolutely beautiful story. Grace and peace

So in a nutshell I didn’t have a high school or college sweetheart, it was more a blurr. I didn’t marry until age 40, because the examples shown to me were that marriage doesn’t work. I wish that were different, and I had regrets about not marrying someone years ago but that faded eventually and I did learn a lesson. Thankfully Jesus found me. Then I saw what His true love is. After that more things clicked, including my real desire to be married and begin my family.

Being a single child from a broken family, I wanted to stay married and not provide an example for my children in the way my parents had shown me. I would learn that I have to (!) live out my faith so our kids would see it, marinate in it and live it as they grow up, so that they would then know it. Of course they need to own their faith. Teach you children well (CSN), who borrowed it from scripture “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it” proverbs 22:6

Dare I assume here that I am writing this to the questioner who is a younger man? Faith or not, here’s a question you don’t have to respond to. What’s in your way? What holds you back? Fear? Maybe the culture is underneath the skin too deep? Jesus penetrates the soul because man in his strength can do nothing (though we fight that do we not?) The grass withers and the flower fades but the word of the Lord will live forever.

It’s time to live boldly, men. What are you waiting for?

Where are you Proverbs 31 women? This is truth, wisdom on how you find a man who will fight for you and cherish you.

Just an opinion, choose wisely, but choose. Don’t miss the beauty in front of you because something or someone else might be more perfect. Ask me how I know.

I like this, however I’d like to encourage those men to first BE men. George Gilder in the book Men and Marriage writes, “Civilization is built by men with families to feed.”

1) Get married (no you won’t find the perfect one or be “ready”)

2) Start having children, lots of them

3) Train them up in the Lord, daily

4) When you’re exhausted and wondering how in the world can you do this… you’re right where you need to be. Keep going, it gets better

As we go into today, in the US it’s election day, November 5, 2024. Focus on things that matter and do not be deceived.

Who or what do you worship?

What are your core values?

What does the way you live say about 1 & 2?

How will you be remembered?

Hey nostr, just started my content recently for first responders. It's called RTF - Resiliency and Trauma Fitness. Check it out, we're new but we're committed to the mission and making a difference for first responders everywhere. https://www.youtube.com/@RTFstrong/videos.

Listening to Howard Lutnick talking about stable coins on Pompliano, Lutnick said he views Bitcoin as the commodity and suggests that we “view stable coins as a checking account.” I’m a boomer pleb and I don’t think this is an accurate or healthy view of stable coins. I don’t look to politicians or their helpers to fix everything. Hopefully they honestly go about their business of fixing the money and don’t go blowing smoke about that which they don’t fully understand. nostr:note1qywcfedsylas4xqfkjnskf4cavk07hm5wr0dqdw0r75eru9jlkqq88mjgx

The KN95 is for? If you’re soldering wouldn’t that need an organic vapor mask (sorry, not trying to be a smarty pants)

Jesus fixes everything, even my temper. Lord help my unbelief. Amen

In looking at the pics of that site, many radio/repeaters are installed there with video surveillance, etc. Not sure what would be involved regarding hardware and power source (solar), but thinking it wouldn’t be just mounting a small hardware thing in a tree. Trying to do that undetected would be a feat. It could be done just not familiar enough with the hardware and the mission.

Hey Dr

I’m not sure if I would be of help, however I am in Ohio. I have no practical knowledge of Meshtastic other than the recent Bitcoin Veterans setting up the Meshtastic nodes in the Helene disaster zone. I come from a first responder career and know a tiny bit about radios. Ham, LoRa and this new Meshtastic not so much except for what I’ve learned in the last week over YT and the BV podcast. A lot to take in.

With that said, I’m interested in trying to help. I have no Lora hardware but I’m interested in learning. Not sure how this comes across but thought I’d give it a shot. Grace and peace

It’s a tell: there is no reason to wear a mask unless (1) you want to be anonymous (sus), (2) you still think it’s “the science” (sus + dumb), (3) you’re antifa, BLM or another domestic terrorist (possibly armed and dangerous). All the above>> the masked people are a scary lot. Prepare accordingly. 👀
