Maybe what I'm about to say could be unpopular but I have to say it anyway.

I have seen a lot of gloating today following the banks/USDC situation. And I have to admit that, yes, I do feel good for the choice I've made, a long time ago, to flee this rotten system and try to protect myself the best way I knew how. Today is one of those days where it all makes sense and gives me confidence that I'm right. And I'm curious to see where this is heading, how far it's gonna go.

But then I can't help but feel sorry for those that are going to, yet again, be the fools in that situation. Yet again, the normal people will pay. Friends of ours, strangers we cross in the streets, and maybe even some of us!

Because we're not all good Bitcoin-maxis here and there are bad stablecoiners there. I'm quite certain that some of you have USDC on exchanges ready to be deployed for DCAing or buying dips. Doesn't make anyone bad. It's all about what we've learned, what we've yet to learn, what choices we make.

And there are also all the ones who tried to protect themselves from absurd inflation and volatility in their domestic currencies and thought that USD stablecoins would be efficient shields, which they could be theoretically. Do we gloat about that?

So there it is. I do eat some 🍿 watching the whole shitshow unravelling but I don't smile because I know who will be the losers here, again.

I know that, in the long term, there's no other way, no easy or peaceful way but still, I want to keep my head cool and I won't act like their poison is my meat. I think we have to better than that.
