This whole op_return thing reminds me of 2015 except back then it felt clear - big blocks bad... Now though both options presented feel shitty. Filters feel inadequate and removing limits seems dangerous.

That said why is polluting the utxo set any worse than storing data under op_return? Creating unspendable transactions just increases the fiat value of our bags no? Conversely if we rid op_return of a limit instead, could we not have perhaps a measured increase in fees as the data use rises, thus storing a hash could be considered reasonable but a jpg cost prohibitive?

Not trying to stir the pot, just want clarity to help me understand.

Thoughts on zap spam? Personally I'm making half a dozen sats a day through WoS. I'm okay with it. Any down sides?

Like Bitcoin, I suspect nostr will really take off when most people don't know they're using it.

Disgusting. Roald Dahl is probably rolling in his grave. Even as a child I found out of date perspectives, manners of speech and views a fascinating insight into the world of yesteryear. To wokewash such classics and pretend the world has always been how it is, is to deprive the reader of their own agency to stop and contemplate on how we got here. Roald Dahl's mind and creativity is is too precious to be left in the hands of simpletons to decide morality.

Looks like I'll have to research some more mobile wallet options then. Haven't figured out how to install Strike from outside the US yet

Thank you! I don't see it though? I'm thinking it's because I use Wallet of Satoshi?

Got my vote. Correct me if I'm wrong - tip is done through the profile (and WoS will work), and Zaps are made through the post using the lighting ⚡ icon along the bottom (and WoS won't work)?

Just re-read your post. 🤦 Clearly too early for me. Good on ya.
