Homesteading, Permaculture, Bitcoin, Freedom. All one or all none!

Did you post that experiment here on nostr too? ”domestic beer" is fiat even if bud light or natty ice are the best fiat beers in my opinion.

After collecting the 50gal of maple sap, it is filtered with a homemade reverse osmosis system. This sap is 1,8% sugar to start, the filter removes water into a separate container and concentrated sap is sent back to the collection tank. It took 3hrs to remove 10gal of water from the sap and the pump uses 28w of power, a very low energy way to remove lots of water. As the sap gets more concentrated it takes longer to remove water. Once concentrated a much as the filter can handle, the remaining water is boiled off with a propane burner. This the third season using the reverse osmosis membranes and they are still working efficiently. The filter paid for itself in propane savings the first season. Now it's all about good maintenance to see how long before the membranes need to be replaced.

Very cool, I don't have a greenhouse yet but this gives me confidence to try some citrus when I do.

Just zapped you, I think any zaps will show moving forward but ones you previously sent won't show up.

Your zap didn't show up on my tab either so you might not be using a wallet that supports zaps

The lightning address that looks like an email. It might depend on what client you're using. I use amethyst. Zaps can be seen on the profile page on the zaps tab

Add the WoS address to nip05 field in your profile settings.

That's awesome, you have oranges too! How big do the lime trees get? Do you think it could be reasonable to keep one pruned to 10ft in a greenhouse?

You think he was running them wide open or was he trying to be a little more stealth with the sound and heat?

The rabbits eat weeds and fertilize the cannabis with their manure/urine helping it to grow abundantly and the extra abundance of the cannabis feeds the rabbits. I've heard that the CBDs get stored in fat so maybe the rabbit meat is also more nutritious too.

Thanks man, I'm starting seeds in mid March. Last year I froze my starts and lost a lot of time. Looking forward to this season gonna grow lots of cannabis and rabbit meat.

We get dozens of rabbits each year from the rabbit colony cannabis garden. Our silver fox rabbits dress out around 3-1/2lbs. We use a live trap to harvest them. Processing is fast less than 10min from when it leaves the trap to when it's resting in the fridge. The tools are basic: hammer handle to stun, rebar to cervically dislocate which kills it, string to hang it for skinning and gutting and kitchen shears to do all the necessary cutting. We save the pelts in the freezer and tan them in large batches. One of the most resilient sources of protein and nutrition on the homestead.

I hope so, haven't tested the sugar content yet.
