Exactly, working with nature makes things more simple in many ways. Integrated approaches allow for less than maximum yeilds because more than one yield is obtained simultaneously from each system.
10 gallon crock is full of peppers picking.

The vegetable garden hasn't gotten as much attention this year as we normally give it. We basically planted it, got things established and walked away. As you can imagine, most plants didn't do very well but the peppers seemed to be just fine. We picked as many as we could find and put them all whole into the 10 gallon crock to ferment. We still don't have a plan for what we will make once they are pickled but at least they will be preserved in the fridge until we decide what to do. It's a mixture of all sorts of sweet and hot peppers so I'm imagining some sort of relish or hot sauce.

Thanks for the props! It's a very hands off approach. I didn't do any teas. I only watered a handful of times to get them established after transplanting. I need to make some time to play around with foliar feeding not only for the cannabis but for all the fruit trees in the food forest too. I've got plenty of comfry and other goodies to play around with fermented plant juice, in addition to all sorts of compost. I'm still in the building stage of most of the systems here on the homestead, foliar feeds feel like the next step when everything is planted and established to maximize yeilds. I'll get there eventually.
Looking good nostr:npub1f5pre6wl6ad87vr4hr5wppqq30sh58m4p33mthnjreh03qadcajs7gwt3z - I had to pull a few of mine early due to PM, but I got it all pulled in time without much damage. I decided to keep it easy this year and ran autoflowers. It worked out surprisingly well in super soil.
I had good luck drying this year getting it down to 0.6 water activity, and I'd say it's some of the best smoke I've had in long time. Now the craze in my circle is "Andrew's Homegrown" :)
I hope I get the chance to make it to one of your events!!
I love to hear it! I never get feedback like that so your smoke must be promo!!
Very easy to raise rabbits in cages to start, then if you want, you can try moving them out to a colony.
What if the meme could be the QR code itself? I've seen memes hidden in ai images lately along with QR codes. Make the meme, then us the AI to make it into a QR that people can then scan to sling some v4v to you.
Hard to say for sure but I'm guessing it's virginia creeper.

I would say so. High quality!
I like this! Thanks for the props. I'm trying to just do my own thing and not get too caught up in the rigamarole.
Disappointing pawpaw harvest

These were all the pawpaws I could find on the homestead this year. Last year I went picking a few times finding many each picking. It's always interesting how some years are great for particular yields and others aren't. In my area it looks like a great year for fruit but the corn/soy farmers are saying it's one of the worst seasons in a long time.
This is one example of how the value diversity principle can provide resilience. Having a diversity of fruit yields and diversity of cultivars amongst those fruits helps to guarantee there will be a good harvest somewhere and the overall harvest is unlikely to be poor.
I also find it amazing, that the more I learn the more food I realized is already growing on the homestead waiting for me to gather it. In addition to these few pawpaws; autumn olive, raspberry, and blackberry are some that come to mind that we have enjoyed this year.

Cannabis harvest is about to commence!

These are the best expressions of the super lemon haze x pineapple pomegranate cross I've been working on. (any ideas for names welcome) This season all 9 remaining plants are back crossed with pollin from the original pineapple pomegranate genetics I started with from Massive Seed Co. out of Oregon.
I like to harvest slowly over the month of October to make sure I get some buds early if mold gets bad and get plenty of perfectly ripe bud too if conditions are favorable. Looking forward to some tasty finger hash!!

Last season was a bit of a let down with a small harvest and no viable seed but this year is looking to make up for it. Plus, I've got some new genetics in the mix with white widow and gold leaf thanks to connecting and trading seed at my local Bitcoin meetup.

Been taking a breather from nostr. Had a successful Applied Permaculture class here at the homestead but I burned myself out trying to get the word out on nostr. Been busy nonetheless so expect more homesteading adventures soon. Need to get the fire burning again.
Can any #permies #permaculture #austriches help me identify this tree? It has grown of its own accord in my veggie patch. I'm thinking maybe avocado but can't be sure and don't want to disturb the roots to check in case I damage it. Much obliged. nostr:npub1f5pre6wl6ad87vr4hr5wppqq30sh58m4p33mthnjreh03qadcajs7gwt3z if you get time cast your eye on it. Thanks friends

Do you have an avocado tree nearby? Did you throw pits in that area? If it's likely an avocado seed got there somehow or avocado is common in your area then it looks like an avocado.
Try searching/following some hashtags. I don't know how many clients support this but I enjoy the feature on Amethyst.
I read this as "you need more Bitcoin than you think" lol
I it was both surprising and unsurprising to learn.
