Yeah I should try to spin up some imterest on varaFM locally. How do the channels work? Is there tech writeups about this? I know it's closed source.
It's closed source but the assembly is available 😀
We have a lot of the same gear :)
Yeah I hear you on the FW side. You can also apply to Microchip :) but yeah, don't know your personal situation. They are in AZ.

Yeah right on. We'll, I saw you other not about being in a cave :) I'd say we need more HW/FW types. If you like RF there are projects like meshtastic that are super popular right now.
Also reticulum.
I'm working on some FM demodulation analog style with a PLL circuit to fm demod some voice data on a cassette. But I'm waiting for the parts.
I have found a person more analog cypherpunk than I.

I do hardware hacking like yourself. My automotive experience was briefly on the obd side.
However, I ran into some chiptuners along the way. I always got the sense they were bitter their cars were going digital 😀
Have you looked into what trezor crypto does? They are using a secp256k library on a stm32f2. So there are embedded libraries that do this especially from the hardware wallet side.
I'm not judging BTW, this is awesome! I'm just curious.
Ok, it's not a trumpet. But I will make an exception for Dave.

How embedded friendly is this? And I'm not talking raspberry pi but actual MCUs. I saw a mbedTLS depends somewhere.
C is punk rock. Baller.
The magnetic properties of tape can fade. But it's an analog signal so it will fade but not disappear. If taken care of, I still buy tapes over 40 years old and I think they sound great.
However, strong magnets can erase them. This is a pro and a con.
At CES, _this year_, a major music electronic producer called Fiio released a brand new walkman with usb c charging.
So, yeah it's niche. But I don't think it's going to 0.
And yes, it has the obfuscstion properties you mentioned.
I'm experimenting with a pencil and paper encryption scheme based on a one time pad, but honestly just Shakir split on multiple tapes might be easier.
That's right! The only thing missing was a self deleting cassette 😀
When digital systems fail, analog systems always have to bail them out.

Yeah, the programming language called scheme. Its a dialect of lisp. Very simple syntax if you can get over the ().
But it's really the ultimate playground for language design. It's a well documented use case if you dig into it. It'd been about 10 years for me since I've seriously done language design like this, but this is what I used.
Try it out in scheme. For DSLs like this scheme is very good at prototyping language ideas.
If you like prefix notation you don't even have to write any macros.
Here's the clip from the episode where I talk about it. It's basically as secure as paper if you just say them.
Yeah lol, it's a rabbit hole.
I think rucking might be a good replacement. Walking while carrying weight is a thing humans were meant to do. Jogging and running are good too of course no debate there. But it's surprisingly easy to injure yourself running jogging. Rucking I think has maybe equal benefit, less downside.
