I see this all the time but can I also ask, does this account for coin dilution? I remember hearing the argument that it hit that price with more #Bitcoin issued than the previous all time high. I've just never run the numbers to see the difference.
I keep thinking about a podcast I was listening to... The host was saying how we can see in real time people/media rewriting history. The example most given is the Trump "fine people" hoax. Whether you like or don't like Trump doesn't matter... You can easily look up the 30 second clip and see the media:
A) lie about it.
B) show it to your average person and they deny what they just saw.
The conclusion was, how the hell can you trust anything in the history books?
If they can rewrite something with video evidence that clearly disproves it, but people eat it up anyway, how can you trust the narratives that have been spun for centuries?
How can you convince one of these people about #Bitcoin?
They just eat whatever those in power tell them to eat.
Agreed. And once you've been through it, you can spot people almost instantly that never have.
One of the reasons I think I was able to get #bitcoin so readily is because I've had to live life on my own. I've always had a rocky relationship with my dad, to the point we no longer speak. My mom has never been financially stable. So I moved halfway across the country and survived on my own. I remember having $20 for food to get me through two weeks until next paycheck. I told myself I'd never let it get that bad ever again. Enter #btc where I can now store my value and always have my own fall back.
I'm reading like 3 books concurrently. One of them I just finished is a classic sci-fi book, "Hyperion."
I still really like the world building through 7 strangers' stories. But the craziest thing I found, this world CANNOT exist without hard money.
Most sci-fi authors ignore economics but he's describing people "hopping" through time by traveling at light speed. One guy is coming back to the same place every 11ish years.
How would any company be able to pay a worker for that if there was someone in control of the money printer? It would be like forcing someone to buy a 10-year Treasury bond. It wouldn't work.
nostr:npub1yx5daemgy8fq973ckw5ecd4jt4ca7k2pzxv0evnjv7f96ddtkxnspduumh once you finish your current book...I think sci-fi needs a new voice as well.
Proves just how even some of the smartest people can understand one thing, doesn't mean it'll translate to others. I appreciate Parker for #btc arguments I'd never heard of. I'm ignoring almost everything he says on #nostr
Was shuffling an old playlist and this came up. Remembered the time when this was looping in the background - fees like yesterday and yet also many life times ago.
It remains to be my fav track of Ed Sheeran.

I know it's more recent, but I'll never tire of "castle on the hill."
Indeed. And #stackharder stack like your generational line depends on it.
I was at the local farmer's market telling a guy he should accept #bitcoin and he asked me how it was going.
Told him basically the same thing. He's going to get with me next week to talk about it and how he can accept it in his businesses.

Being carnivore...I still think "corpse muncher" is the funniest supposed insult the vegans hurl at me. It never ceases to make me laugh.
People only complain about engagement if they have no one in real life to have a deep conversation with.
I've been doing consistent long walks in the sun around my neighborhood while the weather's nice. Doing some business calls while walking, or listening to a podcast while walking.
I mostly blame nostr:npub1dvufvl73s0xdz8d75dgcyjvl0wrmczczvr0ef88g5x8uehmr4fus0j0pwx for getting me into this trend.

I'm not looking forward to winter. Only way to walk is on a treadmill inside. Even in 106 degree weather I was out there walking around the neighborhood getting all I could before the snow.
With a little helping of, "never met a deadline in my life"
Agreed. Trying to boil it down to simplistic terms is difficult.
The quote, "wisdom is being able to explain complex topics, simply. Sophistry is taking simple topics and making them complicated."
I try really hard to be the former... But I fail more often than not with #Bitcoin
Honestly I'm using that more as a blanket term. Wherever I have extra money it's just put into #Bitcoin.
I only have 1 true monthly buy that's a set amount. Everything else is just smash buys with whatever funds I have.
Bro! Have fun!
We loved it when we visited last October.
But that's the thing... Why keep fighting a losing battle, when there's someone else you can easily win over that just hasn't heard the arguments before? At this point in the adoption cycle it seems better to focus on people that are open to the message, than to focus on those that aren't.
I think I'm at nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs stage of orange pilling.
While I still talk about #Bitcoin because it's my obsession, if a normie is giving me strong pushback and no curiosity...I just say "ok" and move on with my life.
Why work so hard to give out one life vest when there's a ton more people out there gratefully accepting life vests.
