I'm never pessimistic about Bitcoin. 21 million is the theoretical maximum, but due to various uncontrollable factors, the actual number of Bitcoins in use will be far less than 21 million. Bitcoin's current situation seems more like the result of deliberate suppression. Traditional finance has developed for hundreds of years, while emerging blockchain-based finance has only been around for a little over a decade. However, its rapid development has already caused panic in traditional finance. Once traditional finance is replaced by blockchain-based finance, it will plunge established financial giants into despair, while those with technological prowess in blockchain-based finance will rise to prominence. This is an unprecedented and massive exchange of interests. This is inevitable, as irreversible as the advent of the automobile inevitably replacing the horse-drawn carriage.

Out here on the ranch, you learn that even the smallest souls can leave the biggest silence when they’re gone. 😻 Katzing took an unexpected trip — long enough to make me worry — but today she’s back, safe, warm, and obviously a bit heavier — I swear, she must’ve raided someone’s pantry. 🙈 Anyway, reunion cuddles are in full swing, and all is right again in the barn world!

I do, been making it for years.

You just need a clear direction, focus, determination and enough savings to be freed up from your 50 hour per week slog, 5 big auto debits and 3 utility payments that hit each month like clockwork. C’mon people, what’s holding you up?

Friends from out of town stopped by with their new baby to have a few appies and to catch up. The husband asked me about Bitcoin because I mentioned it in passing.

I literally never get to talk to others about Bitcoin in person because I’m sure there are very few of us up here. I seriously need to find my people.

But I was amazed at how well I’ve internalized the points on Bitcoin’s basic architecture, and its fundamental value proposition vs fiat.

I ended up showing this interested young man a couple different wallet apps, what a signing device looks like, and sent him on his way with one of my copies of The Bitcoin Standard. It was so exciting to explain things to someone who was genuinely interested, after beating my head against the wall with countless others over the past few years who haven’t even taken the first step to investigate why inflation has started to affect their lives so.

I swear if I ever get to a meetup where I’m surrounded by Bitcoiners I’m going to get emotional just knowing there’s real live humans that share my excitement about this asset and its roots.
