I should be clear: this is for getting blockchain data to feed your node. Sending your 250 byte transaction without internet was fixed years ago…I haven’t done this in a long time but there may still be an sms relay for bitcoin transactions. It takes two sms texts to send a tx.
@blockstream satellite fixes this. It’s not that hard to set up and there’s even a chance you have most of the required equipment sitting disused on your home.
I wonder how next halving will go in an era of reduced liquidity…
I wish I understood how much money printing contributed to bitcoin early price rise while I was in residency…
How much racism is built in to
Your state’s constitution?
Many state constitutions are clearly racist…I’m still kind of shocked about this.
Look at how many changed the rights offered to citizens in the mid 1800’s. Some states explicitly declared the right to keep and bear arms applied only to White men. Many states amended their constitutions to remove right to carry concealed weapons after Blacks could exercise arms rights.

Eventually everyone will get infected and then we will learn what fraction of the population is no longer compatible with long life on earth with the most evolved variant.
Most vaccines are polyvalent for precisely the reason the covid vaccines fail to stop the spread of the virus: even a slowly mutating virus like sars2 will evade the immune system if the immune system can only target the one protein in the vaccine. Could this be done on mRNA platform? I don’t see why not, but risks go up for every additional protein in the vax regardless of tech.
I love money, but not in the evil way: https://youtu.be/Z9HbQsTgrtk?si=4EwqMPmT6Lok3fME
You are incorrect that this single stranded rna virus is known for being highly adaptable. It’s very slowly adapting because it’s genetic code is literally one big long run-on sentence. Defeating this is easy: target 6 or 8 viral proteins (or so…the actual number isn’t that important, just need “many”) but that’s 6-8 times harder than a vaccine against a single protein.
Influenza is a paged genome, meaning you can mix and match different influenza pages and create a nearly infinite number of new strains quite easily. That’s why we don’t have a vaccine for “influenza” but rather for specific strains.
I’m not so certain…getting rid of every and any common cold virus may be impossible, but creating a vaccine for this one very slowly mutating virus is not out of the realm of possibility. It’ll just take a lot of work and it might not be worth it.
Love to see it. People forget HCOV-NL63. It is a human coronavirus that binds to the ACE2 receptor identified in 2004…at first t seemed like a new disease was in an outbreak, but eventually it was recognized it had been with humanity for thousands of years. Causes a common childhood cold. This is the eventual fate of sars-cov-2.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-vaccine…I’m just being clear as a physician that everyone will get infected because there is no way to prevent this (well, other than dying of something else in the near future).
I’m guessing most people have been infected already…this can be formally studied using sero-surveys but there seems to be little interest in estimating the size of the population most at risk.
Everyone will get infected, unless they can find a conventionally effective vaccine for it.
American Red Cross runs a website with collection locations. Local hospitals sometimes run a collection event too.
Remember, covid isn’t back. It never left. It never will. It will become a common childhood illness in perpetuity.
To make spending a new type of unsigned output impossible without a specific kind of proof of work or something like that.
Without a soft fork, anyone could spend these special types of transactions.
Animal protein is the high quality food. Dairy is animal protein, so it’s very good.
The only reason carnivores are a bit prejudiced against dairy is because the entire point of milk is to turn a 100 lb calf into a 500 lb heifer in 6 months.
Are you suggesting McConnell doesn’t lead a wild life? He looks like such a baller…or a turtle.
