Not suitable for tempering steel…too expensive. Home oven works fine.
Not suitable for heat treating steel. But a propane furnace is.
Other than that, they’re great. It’s all about efficiency in creating something you shouldn’t eat.
The future software that allows for one signature across thousands of inputs and outputs from thousands of users will help substantially.
Agreed
Knowing you, I bet you have a kick ass generator, just in case. I have a crappy gasoline powered one that’ll run the freezer but that’s it. I need another 5 years before Armageddon…or I’d have to spend some serious bitcoin to get ready now.
True. Not sure what if any military technology can reach geostationary orbit satellites. That’s a great deal further than low earth orbit satellites like Starlink.
Got the correct ePaper display and, of course, had to hack in a dark mode!

eBay are L, M, and H?
Indeed.
That said, I’m prepared to get blockchain data without internet access. I have @blockstream satellite data packets broadcast to every port in my house…even if I lose internet access, my nodes can stay synced anywhere they plug in.
Not sure sha256 is of any blame, but limited block space was a happy accident. You can kill bitcoin by centralizing or pricing everyone out of the market. This is a delicate balance.

Indeed. But don’t fret. There are very clever ways of 1) combining signatures across inputs so you and 10,000 of your friends can make one transaction with 10,000 inputs and outputs but only 1 signature. This will save roughly 50% on block space. And 2) sharing single UTXOs between multiple parties. This could save 50-90% or more on block space, but is much farther off.
Necessity is the mother of all invention. We need high fees to get the most efficient use of block space. There is still much work to be done on the software front.
Disingenuous? I’m referring to a well known mental phenomenon called projection. It’s the concept that their interpretation of reality is a mirror into their mindset.
Nothing disingenuous at all here. It’s something worth considering.
Just remember…the people who see the January 6 unauthorized tour of the capitol as an insurrection are the same people who believe Trump was trying to execute a coup by force and are the same people who are in power today.
The people that thought j6 was an insurrection believe this because that’s all they can imagine it could be. They are telling us how desperately they would cling to power in similar circumstances.
I wonder how the next elections will go if the senile poopy pants babbler doesn’t win or looks like he won’t win on late stage pre-election polls.
Can get started with a cheap software defined radio…https://a.co/d/6xQ2lFp (I’ve bought three of these on amazon over the years…prices were $24 in 2018, $26 in 2019, $30 in 2020, and $34 today).
All you need after that is a dish, an LNB, power supply, and some cabling.

🎩🎩 off to you JB…I don’t know the history of the protocol, but I know you have had a crucial role in making this a protocol people like me can use. And that’s something to be proud of. I’ve saved lives, which is nice and all, but I haven’t done much for all of humanity. Strong work my friend. 💪
Epic insight right here. Our social and political future depends on insights such as this.
And it’s a tax on a constitutionally protected right. It will be found unlawful as soon as they finish getting the legal foundations fully fleshed out in the courts. But the major concepts of keep, bear, arms, “right of the people,” and infringed have formal legal definitions now from the Supreme Court. Only took 200 years, but now we have the full definition of the operative clause of the second amendment and in theory the unqualified command of the second amendment now has teeth.
“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
It’s not clear to me that the laws the interpret and enforce are even constitutional.
1934 NFA permitted banning SBR/SBS precisely because these were NOT weapons of war. But today they are weapons of war. Either way, they are firearms commonly possessed by Americans for lawful purposes, and therefore cannot be banned or taxed.
Every word of the second amendment now has an official legal definition from the Supreme Court, as of summer before last. All infringements of the second amendment must be in keeping with this nation’s historical tradition and history of restricting arms (for example, places where armed guards are provided, such as courthouses and polling places.)
it’s just a matter of time before the NFA is ruled on constitutional. It will take about 5 to 10 years and we need these Supreme Court members to stay alive long enough to get things to the Supreme Court.
And Ladies of the Nostr, nor we would be sad if you did the same!
