I always train hard with my strategic cluster bombs. I’m down to only 3 unintended civilian deaths per training session.

Surgical precision is a lot less precise than most people imagine.

Surgery is never as pretty as people think it will be. Always the last treatment option.

He pays so well, I was thinking of getting surgery to take him up on the deal 🤣

Indeed. They have python built-in too now, which is an improvement. And a color screen. And a processor that’s probably 8x faster. But in its essence, it’s only been free / forced upgrades as the old stuff fell off the market.

Here’s a cool device idea: a bitcoin node that is ruggedized to live outside, with a motorized satellite antenna for blockchain/transaction downloading & software to scan the sky until it locks on the #blockstream satellite….would need Ku and C band versions but all you would need to do is supply power, point antenna to right half of the sky and it’ll just sync from genesis on its own (40 days or so minimum with current bandwidth).

There are precisely two electronic device categories that I have a fond affection for: my 1996 era TI-82 calculator and my nostr:npub12ctjk5lhxp6sks8x83gpk9sx3hvk5fz70uz4ze6uplkfs9lwjmsq2rc5ky #coldcard collection.

There is something very satisfying about using a purpose built machine with easy to navigate, well organized linear menus with every menu option having an important function…but no so many functions that you’ll never know what most of them do…

The physical interface of the Q is a massive improvement over the mk4, which was massive improvement over mk1. If you can only have one, get the Q. If you want or need small, mk4 is better but if you really need small, consider just teleporting the seed instead of transporting it on the device.

The only thing that would make me love my Q more would be simple games, or maybe a more easily accessible calculator function, both of which would be kind of absurd to put on the device…but the fact that the Q has a calculator mode is awesome.

Have you ever heard that quote attributed to Ben Franklin that “Beer is proof that Gid loves us and wants us to be happy?”

I think that was a typo. He meant #boobs. I think he must have meant boobs.

Remember, this is the guy who wrote a letter with advice on taking an older woman as a mistress over a younger one for a long list of very practical considerations…

I exist. Or at least I am pretty sure that I do.

Yup. A radiologist. My bitcoin life and radiology life rarely overlap though

If the UK is imprisoning people over tweets, I’m totally OK with Putin invading England. I mean, if it’s already a failed state attacking its own citizens, it might as well be invaded by someone we can go to war with. Hard to go to war with England now to free its subjects.

Ah, the cumulative sum isn’t adding up the debt for each instrument across time, it’s adding up the discounted debt today across instruments.

Grok has answered at 5 minutes:

“GAAP bifurcation of convertibles into discounted debt plus equity components for the conversion feature”

The first of tens of pages of grok analysis.

Ah, I thought that animal facing away from the camera was a cat! Balanced has been restored to the force.

I’m not talking about the gray areas though. I’m talking about the obvious existence of black and white areas. I don’t deny that most government law enforcement is gray area bullshit, but there is a legit version too.

Constantly.

But seriously, you’re arguing that allowing criminals to keep their ill gotten gains is a good thing and I’m saying I’m ok with taking it back from the criminals. If the injured parties can be identified, sure, the seized can be restitution…but not if the injured are themselves are also criminal.
