Classic Ground Beef Hardshell Tacos
Beef, Cumin ground, Garlic, Mexican, Oregano, Tomatoes
Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins | Servings: 2
Ingredients:
200 gram ground beef
6-8 corn tortillas
1/2 onion
1 garlic clove
1 chipotle in adobo
1 Tablespoon adobo sauce
1-2 teaspoons chili powder (I used crushed New Mexican)
1/4 teaspoon salt
dash cumin (optional)
dash oregano (optional)
dash black pepper
2 tomatoes
fresh lettuce
Monterey Jack cheese (or Mozzarella)
guacamole (optional)
Directions:
Roughly chop 1/2 onion
Saute onion in a dollop of oil over medium-high heat for a few minutes
Add ground beef and cook until browned
Drain any fat if you want
Add 1 clove minced garlic and saute briefly
Add 1 minced chipotle and 1 Tablespoon adobo sauce
Add 1-2 teaspoons chili powder (I used New Mexican)
You can optionally add dashes of cumin, oregano and black pepper
Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt and a couple Tablespoons of water. Let simmer over medium heat. By the time you gather all the taco fixings the meat will be ready. Take a final taste for seasoning (I added another pinch of salt to this batch).
For the taco shells, start by warming up corn tortillas in the oven or microwave. Lightly brush with a neutral oil (or cooking spray) and drape over two oven rungs for 10-12 minutes at 375F
Serve with diced tomatoes, chopped lettuce, shredded cheese and guacamole (optional)
Notes:
Most taco seasoning packets are heavy on the cumin and oregano. I tend to shy away from using too much of these to avoid Tex-Mex overload. As photographed I added a dash of cumin and black pepper, but no oregano.
I usually pull the taco shells out of the oven before they are fully browned. This will leave them still slightly pliable.

Walter Isaacson, writer of 'The Code Breaker' and more https://isaacson.tulane.edu/books-2/ is writing a book on Elon #Musk.
Some interesting historic information about X.com is mentioned on a thread on X. https://twitter.com/walterisaacson/status/1683228934773563395
Even if you don't like Musk, it's always good to enrich your knowledge.
About the #X #logo:
Elon Musk's logo for "X" is a Unicode Character “𝕏” (U+1D54F).
The letter X belongs to the public domain. The word apple was also in the public domain. It is the original use of this name to designate a computer company that is proprietary.
According to our trademark law, if X has not previously been used to refer to a social media company, Elon Musk is entitled to use it to rename Twitter.

Creafree developed a free global standard for intellectual property that could be easily implemented on Nostr.

Seems like a good time to X-it nostr:note14t786k6ngwnfk4ggahykzwjk25q5llv8ym788v2u4x4ew68nsgzs2xkz9s
I would still keep an eye on the development of X.
Even if it becomes totalitarian, it has the financial means to launch new concepts.
Always keep an eye on the market and improve it. Nostr can do that.
In a later post, I will give some more background on X and Elon Musk. Don't forget, he started out as an entrepreneur with similar objectives that we are defending. Even if you don't like X, it is still better than any other centralized social media platform.
I was wondering why teens these days are reluctant to get their driver's licenses.
Evidently, it occurs frequently and across nations.
When I became eligible, I went to obtain my license.
It meant I could go anywhere I wanted without restriction. Exploring more of the world.
Why are youngsters today less enthused?
Is it because of smartphones?
Some answers I got from those millennials are:
- Driving is boring.
- Where would I go? Friends are on the internet.
- It's far too dangerous.
- I'm not interested in automotive culture. (In other words, vehicles are not cool.) Uber is less expensive than driving/owning a car.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
Looks delicious. If you are the original creator of this recipe, I advice you to protect your intellectual property.

Why did 100-year-old Henny #Kissinger travel to China?
A medical crew must accompany a 100-year-old man if he is traveling on a plane for 14 hours.
Why did Kissinger put his health in danger to visit China?
There must be a connection to his own legacy.
It has nothing to do with US debt, the trade conflict, or even Taiwan.
Not #China, but the $31.4 trillion in #US_debt poses the greatest threat to the planet.
Unavoidably, the price of #US_bonds will fall and destroy the economies of numerous nations.
There will be a loss of hundreds of millions of jobs and billions of dollars in pensions.
It was warned to #Xi_Jinping when he began his first term that the Chinese economy couldn't endure the collapse of US bonds.
The campaign to reduce China's debt was started in 2013.
In 2021, it forced the two biggest real estate developers into bankruptcy.
China has been protecting itself from the eventual collapse of US bonds for the past ten years.
The #US_economy is about to collapse.
War is the only way out.

#Nigeria adds programmability to its #CBDC:
“the CBDC can now be programmed to be spent in a specific location or on designated items, … it would allow public authorities to ensure subsidies are used as intended.”

I had a great meeting nearby ‘Mass’ in Antwerp yesterday presented by nostr:npub1hzz35pkl67w53lpj2g62zh56g63j5zvz4q3m2nxlsfg5hxcjpwssaynqel.
He gave a lot of tips for people looking to get a job in #Bitcoin. There is a new meeting planned in Amsterdam. Reach out to him to find out more.
He used #MentiMeter for his presentation, which is a interactive software that creates an interactive experience letting everyone vote, ask questions, and interact.

Good question. If content is interesting it should remain free to read. Especially for readers who are not financially able to contribute. Keeping the swap function seems better to me. If you are a content creator, why not bundle your work into a book or ebook and publish it if monetisation is what you are after.
Solid de TBL est basé sur le protocol de HTML. Le système de PODs est génial mais le development est centralisé. Nostr semble devenir un protocole plus attrayant pour la décentralisation.
Norvegian Regulator Datatilsynet said it would charge $100,000 every day from Aug. 4 until Nov. 3 unless Meta takes action.
Datatilsynet has referred its move to the European Data Protection Board, which, if the latter agrees, could make the fine permanent and widen the decision's territorial scope in Europe.
