Enjoyed some time under the radar. Slowly catching up to what's happening in the world again. In the mean time: I did publish some (old) #game reviews and played around with #meshtastic 👌
Hey, it's my Nostr anniversery day! 🎉

Time flies, especially with Nostr. Somewhere in August '22 it was the first time I heard about Nostr. It took some months before I joined as I was quite active in the fediverse during the TwitterMigration. It also took some months before Nostr really began to resonate: https://sebastix.nl/blog/why-nostr-resonates/. From that moment I started to contribute to this movement in my own way as a fullstack web & Drupal developer. Since then I never stopped and my gut feeling tells me that this will not stop coming decade ;)
To me it still feels we've just started and we're early with the protocol and all tech around it. The future is bright and I really enjoy being together with good people (meatspace and digital) and their intentions. We all share the same goals around building just a better internet. An open internet, accessable for everyone. Free (as in freedom) and more neutral. Easy to build on and permissionless.
Nostr is a life-changer, so cheers & LFG! 💜 💜 💜
Happy anniversary! 🎉
🚨 WHITE NOISE LIVE DEMO! 🚨
Today is a big milestone. I'm now 100% sure that MLS messaging is going to work on Nostr! 🤙 I've been optimistic for weeks now but... you never know until you write that last line of code that ties it all together.
Personally, this project has stretched me way out of my comfort zone. I'm a web dev, not a cryptographer! I also didn't really know much about memory management or compiled languages before getting started on this project. Suffice to say, I've come a long way! 😊
It's not quite ready for use, but I'll have builds out very soon.

For those that don't know much about the project, I recommend finding my past MLS updates on Highlighter. Or just ping me here – I'm happy to answer questions.
Great work Jeff, highly anticipated and super exciting developments. Thanks for your efforts and keep up the good work!
As spoken by nostr:nprofile1qqs0tlt4fptsgmehatjcexpd0gyerwsgext0tveep73t44r77fccmmgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj79hkwj4 during his keynote at #btcamsterdam "Use it or lose it": using Lightning Network to pay for delicious specialty coffee at hummingbird in Amsterdam

You are welcome Ruud! 🙏 Was that the link he talked about during the talk? It's a pretty comprehensive site indeed, I'll add it to my notes on bitcoin 🙌
I just processed my notes and wrote down my takeaways from the bitcoin Amsterdam conference 2024 last week. What did you take away from the conference?

Agreed! I just picked up rust and now deno is luring me back into the je ecosystem. I might give it a whirl though, they fixed my biggest blockers being ARM64 support and npm package fallbacks 🙌
Yes I like this concept, I would not have discovered the toots if it hadn't been for the bridge. It is too bad fediverse will miss some interactions now because of unawareness, and it might be challenging for people (like me just now 🙈) to distinguish original identities and the replicated fediverse identities.
Thank you, this makes sense to me now 🙏 Keep up the good work!
Hi nostr:npub1s6z7hmmx2vud66f3utxd70qem8cwtggx0jgc7gh8pqwz2k8cltuqrdwk4c, was nice briefly meeting you at the conference! Could you perhaps shed some light on this discussion? I thought Bert was aware he was publishing on nostr, but he is actually posting on mastodon and posts seem to get republished through nostr, I'd love to know how that works so I can explain it to people better. Thanks! 🙏 https://www.linkedin.com/posts/peterpeerdeman_whilst-on-the-lookout-for-remedies-against-activity-7247860646250168320-gXZf

The whole nostr CEO meme was a hoot btw 🤣 thanks for being there!
Safe travels! 🙌
I loved that game! 🙌 A very nice slow movie like experience building on top of the, also excellent, Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain
Computer less on!

Mighty respect!

Thanks so much for attending and sharing the nice pictures! See you around! 🙏
I've recently had the pleasure to reconnect with Arthur Stobbelaar, with whom I've kept in touch for a long time since back in our consulting days. Arthur has been on quite the journey from consultant to architect at DEPT® to running Alpha Tango agency with Tobias van Veen. Where Arthur has been extending his technical expertise with business acumen, Tobias is an absolute go-to expert on brand, design and creative direction.
Whether you are in the market for a brand strategy or want to explore what kind of modern brand engagement you could get into, I dare you to meet them for coffee and get convinced by their ideas on how to delight your customers and increase your brand value 💪

Agreed 👍 And thanks! I've not been as active with posting new music lately, but I'm definitely looking forward to playing at the nostrdam meetup in Amsterdam October 8th 🔥
Thank you Ayono, good luck on the journey! I can definitely recommend giving it a shot. By the way: it doesn't have to be a full cluster, you can also start learning Kubernetes with just one node!
Since the start of my career I’ve been keeping notes on the technical projects, challenges and solutions I’ve encountered. Some are just one paragraph of things I want to be able to look up later, and some turn out as full 6-part getting started series, like the attached blog series where I’m learning how Kubernetes works, and how to migrate applications and AI workloads to a cluster.
Before GPT and LLM’s, I must have consulted these kind of public blogposts on the open web thousands of times while learning and troubleshooting. If it wasn’t for this kind of public sharing of content, there would be no data for the LLM’s to train on, and the results wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as they produce now. Of course writing is not just about feeding the LLM’s, it is about structuring your thoughts, making a point and developing the skill of getting your point across.
Movements like indieweb, POSSE (publish on your own site, syndicate elsewhere), pkm and people like Bert Hubert, Nicole van der Hoeven Nick Milo and Ernst-Jan Pfauth have been good sources of inspiration on this topic. My “learning in public” is bringing me great benefits, such as improving my writing, starting conversations and getting feedback. If you aren’t already, give writing a shot, even if it’s just a comment, and let me know how it has served you!
