Sure, more BRRRR money is good for the bitcoin price.

But no bailout is even better for Bitcoin adoption.

Are ordinal inscriptions a threat to Bitcoin?

According to MercuryWallet lead developer Nicholas Gregory, nothing about this conversation is new.

While some of the encoded jpegs are scandalous and potentially illegal, this stuff has existed on Bitcoin for longer than a decade and there is no way to stop it in a permissionless network.

Luxor and Foundry are the two biggest Bitcoin mining pools in the United States 🇺🇸 ⛏️

And since Foundry is getting bigger by the day while the regulations in the USA become stricter, is there a possibility of seeing the two entities collude for the purpose of censoring certain Bitcoin transactions?

According to Luxor CEO Nick Hansen, the two companies are currently competing against each other and any kind of transaction censorship is detrimental not only to the business model, but to the entire Bitcoin mining industry in the USA.

It's mostly a way to express dominance, you'll also see it in cats, dogs, birds, and lots of other animals that flex or arch their backs in the sudden presence of the opposite sex.

Sometimes they also do it as a self-defense mechanism against bigger and stronger creatures. If you're perceived as being strong, they won't attack.

That, or you're taller than the average lady and they don't want to look short next to you so you notice their presence.

I know because I subconsciously do this too and spent time to overanalyze my reactions 😜

Bitcoin = The Demiurge, the chaotic element that's trying to take over the world

What’s the story behind block 774628, the largest Bitcoin block ever recorded?

Well, Luxor mined it after receiving a payment in advance from the Taproot Wizards creators Eric Wall and Udi Wertheimer.

The goal of this large transaction was to shock the world – and the catalyst wasn’t only the size, but the fact that it paid no apparent fee and seemingly posed a threat to the security model of the network.

In S13 E7 of the Bitcoin Takeover podcast, Luxor CEO Nick Hansen explains how it all happened (and reveals whether or not his pool got punished by the market).

Howard Hughes. A pioneer of aviation, cinema, television (he bought a TV channel just so it can show the movies he liked), and sovereign living.

Mine dropped too, but I noticed that the algorithms keep posts alive for longer – sometimes I get a like or comment from a follower the next day.

Here on Nostr the average lifespan of a post is 15-20 minutes. Your posts get buried if your followers aren’t online when you broadcast them.

Both models have pros and cons. Which is why I post on both 😅
