Mass civil disobedience is effective, but the problem is that it first has to get to a point where people don't care if they are made an example of. The media is not going to show that kind of unrest, so there's an even higher bar to clear for this to work.

Higher taxes on middle-to-high earners and corps is basically a strategy to limit protestors demographically to the ones with the most to lose if they refuse to comply. If you can stop the first wave, it'll never gather momentum.

I've probably spent a thousand hours between the first three Fallout games, not counting Tactics, which was fucking terrible.

I stopped following the franchise after New Vegas but am also interested in hearing what people think about the show.

Sounds a little bit like Aldi's or Trader Joes. I've basically split my grocery runs into 3 pieces to minimize costs at the expense of my time, and I do use Trader Joe's as such. Appreciate the suggestion though, maybe they'll branch out west eventually 🤙

My grocery costs (including non-food staples like toilet paper) were mostly steady at about $350-400 a month prior to 2020.

Now it's in the $800 range. Some of that rise is insistence on quality eggs and meat, but still... it is shocking when I stop to look at the receipt.
