Not sure if the kimbal bearing can cause that issue... However, both areas will firm up on acceleration due to prop torque...
Haven't had an issue with the steering on this boat... I think the steering rack is behind the engine... most likely will have outer and inner tie rod ends where the sloppiness stems from...
Ill take a closer look, and will report back.

Sounds like a lifter ticking, right side Oxygen sensor code fault...
Couldn't do this job without a hoist.. No room for air tools, barely room for my hands...
About 6 hours over 2 days...

1994 Chris Craft Concept with 4.3 litre V-6 waterpump replacement... too easy.
2007 Chrysler 300c 5.7 litre Rack and Pinion replacement. Original was binding both sides of center... once again, too easy.
Been gone for a time. Had to put down my German Short Hair of 11 years. I believe, but can't prove, a vaccine harm. Issues immediately after Vet visit in 2019... too many coincidences. Miss you Julliet...

I found the Ford Taurus and Sable were slightly more difficult...
Steering wheel can sit on seat. Bolts on both sides of dash are slotted. Dash is heavy, takes a bit to unseat it. Careful with blend door connections, plastic can get quite brittle... Be patient, it's dooable...

Needed to turn the beast around and put into position. The wheel system worked nicely. Also, a short heavy extension cord was neccessary for the 20 amp motor. Reasonably quite quiet... and rock solid...
