For the conspiracy theorists out there:
Mismanagement of forests for decades + lack of funding + "arsonists" that never seem to be found = forest fires = every minute of every newscast and article in newspapers across Canada talking about air quality (fear) and climate change (fear) = we need protection = more taxes, more government, and more control for said government.
Impossible? Certain? Take off your tin hat you fool?
This album bleeds Texas. With headphones you can hear the Marfa winds and the cattle singing in the background.
Pine beetle infestation is another big problem. They are able to burrow into trees that are older than 20 years old (softer bark) and then kill the tree from the jnside. When the weather is below -30 during the winter they are killed. Our winters are warmer, so some blame climate change.
However, if forest fires are allowed to burn many of the older trees will die and new trees will grow (pine cones need 230 f to open) and the pine beetle wouldn’t be able to burrow into their young bark.
If you walk through a forest that has burned a year or two afterwards, the amount.l of new growth is astounding and beautiful.
Forests in western Canada have not been allowed to burn, which has caused a massive buildup of dry fuel, which in turn makes the fires bigger and harder to control. Mismanagement of forests is the greatest cause of the increase in forest fires in Canada.
💯 and yet every single person I speak to, here in Canada, regurgitates the same tired trope that has been delivered to them via their state sponsored media.
In settings, under wallet, you can use NWC.

Proving that you can be successful if you are true to yourself. Admirable.
1. No.
2. Hell yes
I have had students who visited me, or emailed me after 10 years to thank me and at the time I was teaching them I didn’t really feel like I had an “impact” on their lives. If they hadn’t don’t this, I would have never known. It’s a difficult thing to measure.
Many years left and I would venture to guess you’ve impacted more people than you think.
Not sure what caused them, but Trudeau will use them to justify further taxes, and more spending. He will use them to further “climate change” initiatives that further divide Canadians among rural/urban lines.
In the west, Canada has been mismanaging forests for decades and this is one of the big reasons the fires are larger each year.
