When it comes to digital goods (movies, music, games, anything), that is the way things are trending. The problem is that when the online service ends, changes its terms or bans your account, you get cucked... you no longer own the thing, in fact, you never did.

Don't trust cloud providers period. If you are still using Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive or Apple iCloud, you NGMI. They can scan and see all your files. Even after deleting, they retain copies for god knows how long. You'll just be introducing more potential risks pointed right at your rectum.
Self-host your own private cloud or, at the very least, use an trustworthy open-source privacy-focused provider that has end-to-end encryption. Take it a step further by adding a second layer of encryptiong using Cryptomator or VeraCrypt containers before uploading anything important.

I barely have any cash on hand. I only keep enough for absolute emergency necessities. Cash is still government money. The government can come out just like before and say that it's no longer redeemable for gold but instead of gold, it'll be not acceptable entirely. They can easily stop its circulation and force normies into CBDCs. You are still a slave to the government as long as you accept and use cash. Paying and getting paid with #bitcoin is the way to go.
