...and end up being tech support for your neighbours. Now that would be really funny! Just pretend you don't know much about #bitcoin.
Funny is tempting... but why not use the opportunity to advertise #freedomtech like #Linux or #Nostr?
Plug for http://www.reweb.so . Did a project the other month and had the designer just design in there, took Figma straight out of the loop, so much better.
There's also #Penpot which is #opensource and supports importing projects from #figma.
Happened to me yesterday on CalyxOS too. Once I sent a voice message in nostr:nprofile1qqsvnx99ww0sfall7gpv2jtz4ftc9v6wevgdd7g4hh7awkpfvwlezugpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtcmhemfz the app was using my microphone forever. The green dot disappeared after restarting the phone. Even if you force stop SimpleX it will continue to access the microphone. You really have to hide the app or restart the phone. Annoying.
Not happened for me on Calyx with no sim. Mic access has been toggled off.
Oh OK but that's not profiles. Profile switcher would let you have completely different browser settings, extensions and fingerprint. Firefox and forks still have no easy way to switch profiles yet : (
Actually after testing a new clean installation of #zenbrowser, it looks like they've taken a step backwards. The choice of search engines on first run is not offered any more even though less important things like colour is.
Of course Google Search is imposed as the default.
By profiles in Zen, you mean the workspaces?
Part of the reason is probably that unlike #Matrix, #XMPP still has no cross-platform fully-featured client.
To be fair, #Firefox has vertical tabs now and already had it in nightly when #ZenBrowser introduced it.
I do appreciate the fact that they give users a choice of search engines on first run.
Should default to a more private option than Google though.

How To DE-GOOGLE Your Phone! (2025)

Step 1: Send several hundred bucks to Google, because it's the only one that meets our high security standards.
Wait, what?
I'd rather spend money investing in long term solutions rather than monetarily support the demon.
Some people use syncthing for it.
Algorithms that automate genocide and the archetecture behind the pager terrorist attack in Lebanon now swallowed by the US tech-surveillance complex.
Did your khatib address this at Jummah?

Yes he did. Hopefully it makes a difference.

Avoid Fake (or Unrealistic) Solutions, and Learn What to Do

In 2019, Google said fingerprinting was wrong,

But now it's okay,

You can’t hide the fundamental nature of browsers,

This NEW article will summarize technical whitepapers as fun easy memes, and give you a comprehensive overview of what nobody ever told you regarding digital privacy:

Thanks for the article. I think your header image

An even easier method would be to sell/provide the USB stick with the ISO already flashed. Just need to insert, reboot and enter boot menu.
Question: Does Linux Mint require "secure"boot to be disabled? That can also be a significant obstacle.
Alt + Spacebar
That's all you need to have AI record your voice,
With the all new Microsoft Windows Copilot Press to Talk AI recorder! [1]
Next maybe they'll remove the Alt key, so just hit spacebar and we'll film... Or an Elon Musk brainchip to better comply with X's terms and conditions..
Or: You could Install Linux Mint using a cheap USB stick and be up and running this weekend.

If you're going the "burning" ISO on USB way, I've found that Fedora Media Writer simplifies it for nontechnical people. It downloads the ISO and burns it to the drive. This way, they don't need to get a USB burning app and the Linux ISO separately, plus #Fedora has a Cinnamon spin if someone prefers that.
