Regular Android. They are not going to be able to change the OS or install other things. It must be as easy as plug your old phone in, download an app and let it run.

Android does allow you to run background and foreground services of many kinds.

Ah you’re assuming they have an android here… Yeah tmux is a good idea… But if they have iOS its def not as straightforward to my knowledge … its the stupid simple things like — I’m not sure iOS has allowed INCOMING connections on factory install since the maybe the second version of them.

I am working on a new DVM focused relay, that would be easy enough to ship to phones.. It would have to be seen how easy it would be to run such an energy hog in the background on some phones *COUGH -IOS- COUGH*

I noticed that the focus is integrating AI into workflow. Was wondering about a potential problematic incentive to train AI to suck most of the humans out of the process until the market sector is eaten.

Yeah for some DVM’s, support will be highly dependent on relay operators willingness to scale up message size allowance. The best we can do there is offer free to use relays that support these and document for other operators what would be needed to support services that have these more specialized requirements. That is the nature of decentralized operations, beautiful is it not? :)

You know I can totally see what you mean but I tend to think there are almost always dangers hidden in any market incentives, second order side effects we never even see coming.

Personally, I feel pretty strongly that for the most market sectors; humans augmented by A.I. have significant advantages over A.I or humans alone.

Cool. How does the running a relay help the effort?

Initially we stood one up to contribute to the community. We have since found some of the tools we are building need relays that can accept and buffer large payloads for slower readers. Longer term, its likely we will build and release our own relay implementation, for now though we use a modified open source one.
