I need to not subscribe to newsletters, like ever again.
I simply don't ever read them.
HOLY SHIT! I I FIXED IT!!!! LETS FUCKING GO
I had to detach the CMOS battery from the board, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in.
I'm so fucking happy omg!!!

Super valuable resource for those using/considering passphrases.
Starting in January I'm going to be participating in my first internship doing some accounting work. Besides heavily stacking sats, I'm going to treat myself to the new ColdCard Q.
I'm so hype for that thing! It'll be my first ColdCard!!!!
I have to say.
It's remarkable watching awesome people build up #bitcoin's infrastructure. Every ounce of honest criticism is met with solutions.
I don't know what it means to build on bitcoin but I'm grateful for those who do.

What's going on?
Wait, this is nuts!
Having to go without my StartOS server for a bit is absolute pain.
Self-sovereignty is addicting, plus I miss the blue toggle in Sparrow wallet 😭
And it's all my fault for being a cheap bastard.
Is this for Lightning channels?
Certainly not a standard transaction, unless...?
My kids and grandkids will think I’m a legend for having made on chain transactions 😂
What if we just...
educated people about the base layer and let them onboard themselves instead of holding their hands with custodial wallets.
Let them struggle or they'll never learn.
My machine simply won’t turn on, so I think it’s a hardware issue for me.
And your machine just won't turn on?
That's very interesting. nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll have there been other reports like this recently?
Wait really? Did you DIY?
I haven't hooked up a monitor to access BIOS or anything yet.
I fucked up.
Few weeks ago I bought a used Intel NUC (originally released in 2015) on Ebay. Figured I'd save some money by DIYing a server for StartOS.
Ran an update, clicked restart, and it never turned back on.
I've been in the process of troubleshooting. Ordered a new power adapter, but it's likely dead.
Thank god I never followed through with creating some lightning channels. Would make this way more complicated.
Going forward I'm just going to get new hardware. It's worth the extra money and peace of mind.
I'll be trusting other nodes in the meantime. Fingers crossed.
Nope
