no but you just add a nostr event as a header

Since they recently added moderation headers you may want to integrate that

There are a lot of tools for media optimization and for content moderation, well, I’ll have an API for that.

Currently working on a content analysis service that classifies images/video and other metrics such as optimization.

Should I make a wall of shame for all the crappy media hosts that don’t optimize or host queetionable content?

Did you know nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7 optimizes content further that has significant mobile data savings? And I think they may have more coming 👀

Other media hosts just dump a 5MB poorly optimized file to your client. In 200 notes that becomes 1GB of mobile data

They have added their own nonstandard caching protocol, completely don’t work with private relays, and are extending the protocol in nonstandard ways. Now all that remains is closing the exits.

Yes. And nostr.build has been working on a media moderation solution that they are providing to FOSS media hosts for free. No reason why Primal can’t pay to use their work or make their own.

Stop using Primal and avoid any features meant to lock you into using Primal

With Primal, it reads from their centralized caching server. It can alter the content it shows you, not show you certain content, etc and you wouldn’t know

They are known to shadowban people from trending

It is a walled garden, with the doors open, for now.

you first embrace nostr

then extend it with features and make competitors unable to catch up

then you extinguish it and isolate them from your walled garden which everyone uses, while shifting the blame to client devs, for example “WHY DON’T YOU HAVE GOOD SEARCH YET”

this is already happening
