The importance of verifying Webhook signature https://snyk.io/blog/verifying-webhook-signatures/

It was September 2022. I was recently posted in a different place about 160 km from my hometown. It was difficult to commute everyday. So I rented a room there. It was during weekends when I visited home.
But life at the new place became tidbit boring. Made a few new friends. But coming back from office to an empty house was agonising. I spent time mostly working on my side projects. But it was not enough.
Then I decided to learn something new. Something that will keep me entertained. On a whim, I bought this little item. https://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B00KZHMZ1K?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image
I had nothing in mind - just wanted a new toy to play with. But surprisingly, it turned into a new hobby and i have since spent many hours with this gem. Thesedays you can learn almost everything if you just put some effort into it. I have learned a few tunes from YouTube and somewhat improvise upon them just a bit. Also, it consumes much of my free time which would otherwise be spent having cigarettes.
Just a few bucks and I have found a lot of goodness in this tiny little instrument.
So, whats a recent purchase you have made which turned out to be a great buy even though you didnt expect it to be? #asknostr

I dont want to sound rude or anything but most people in my feed are from the bitcoin community which is not my cuppa tea. Is there any list/community of users discussing programming? #asknostr
Nostr is good but it needs more variety.
Wonderful. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks, mate!
switching apps is going to get painful as nostr progresses and has been part of nostr from the beginning, its how the protocol evolves, an app implements and others adopt or not, there will be 'wars' in the future over this, nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx made a post on this nostr:nevent1qqsph40x7jfdlrs2e6v4r4dmu652yswur9tws0vzll2pemerksfccacce97ht
i think nostr librarys will be very important to keeping dev consistent and lively
already i find most apps other than amethyst painful
I dont know if I am missing anything, but how is this a feature? People *will* switch to different devices. How will the preferences be switched? Lets say the collab list feature is made, how to make it persistent across devices? I understand an open network wont provide everything and devs have to be creative.
That is even better. However, switching to a different device/client would be a pain.
#lists is just about the crucial piece missing from #amethyst to open up nostr to the general public
reason being if we could make a default list of a few 1000 users to use for spam filtering and another few other lists of different types of user feeds it would make the beginning experience in nostr much better

Thats a great idea. Is it in the making?
A very close friend of mine recently made a comment (on lighter note, tho) that I always buy expensive items for everyday use. He went on to say that I must be filthy #rich (even though he knew pretty well how broke I am). I tried to reason with him but he joked that these were excuses.
Honestly tho, expensive (and branded) items last long. In general. Take an iPhone for example. The last #iPhone I was using was a 2017 iPhone SE. Even in 2022, I regularly received security patches. Get me an #Android OEM that does this!
IMO, there are two types of items you buy: 1. Those you wont be bored to use even after a couple of years, and 2. those you plan to replace in every couple years. For the latter, I always go fore the cheapest available option. And the for the former, it requires a bit of time and effort to make the appropriate choice. But, generally, this costs me more.
So, what are your reasoning before you make a purchase decision? #asknostr
Okay so if i switch to a different client, do I meed to block again?
Most changes happen inside .vimrc. Even plugin settings can be changed inside .vimrc.
How is this even possible?

Vim, in its vanilla flavour, doesnt offer much. It's power remains in its extensibility. There are hundreds of plugins that offer a bunch of features that you might be looking for. Give them a try!
Whoah! Thats deep. One of the fundamental objectives of ancient Hinduism was knowing yourself. Thr sages said God and devil both reside inside yourself. The main objective of one's life should be knowing oneself. Meditation was, in fact, invented to search for and in yourself. With time, Hinduism turned really dirty, indulging in caste-based categorization and other such nonsense. The Buddha turned away from all these and went back to the basics. He preaching made much more sense than the dominant Hindus. I think that's why Buddhism still finds a way into everyday life, even after a passage of thousands of years.
(I am not peddling any -ism, just my thoughts.)
this is beautiful! Brought back tons of memory.
How does #nostr deal with spam? #asknostr
It was around 2007-2008 when I was introduced to #Vim, by someone from a mailinglist. At first sight, I really hated it. Why would someone want to use a keyboard to move the cursor? Isnt the mouse there for this purpose?
But after using it for only a couple of hours, I was hooked. It is an absolutely amazing piece of #software. There are keyboard shortcuts for any action imaginable. And if your imagination knows no limit, you can add your own shortcut, too!
Ever since then, I have spent hundreds of hours working in Vim, and saved several thousand more using its powerful shortcuts. Vim is so addictive, that sometimes I miss the shortcuts on other #applications. Even after maintaining .vimrc file for more than a decade now, I still tinker with it from time to time, to add newer shortcuts. I am still #learning new things about Vim.
The commumity is also extremely welcoming and cooperative. Mailinglists, stackoverflow, reddit ā everywhere vim users are very helpful, sharing their workflow. /r/vimporn and /r/vim are great places to hang out.
All this happened because of Bram Moolenaar, the man behind Vim. He not only created a classic #app that passed the test of time but also a thriving and cohesive community of loyal users who would carry on his legacy.
Thanks, Bram!
