Did you test it as an add on or did you check out the source code?
After you install the extension you can just open it by clicking on the icon to open the chat in the side bar.
If it's the source code, you should be able to just do
`npm install`
and then
`npm start`
This will automatically open the extension in the browser but only for the `localhost` URL
Lost and found event kinds
404 & 200 respectively
Just submitted it to their Extension store. Hope they'll accept it (soon)

No, I opted for NIP-73 which uses kind 1111 instead of 1. So in most nostr clients they likely won't pop up
You can now listen to the whole CTDL-Game OST on nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg

SiteChattr extension is now live on the chrome webstore π
Still more features to implement such as
- seeing chat for the whole website instead of just page
- reactions
- replies
- zaps
- discovery (where's the most chattr going on?)

Let me know what you think.
Yeah, for small proof of concepts, it works sometimes. I did it to scaffold a quick app to fetch all YouTube comments for a given search query. The code looked awful but it worked almost out of the box!
I used AI often when it became powerful enough to write code, but this excitement quickly wore off after lots of time wasted reviewing the code and fixing bugs and removing garbage. Nowadays I may ask AI some random questions if I don't quickly find my answer searching the web or let it solve a small very contained problem.
Are you still using AI for coding? Does it really save you time?
satcom looks pretty solid though. Making it NIP-73 compatible (if that's desired) is to change a couple of lines of code.
But well, that's the beauty of nostr, data is democratized! It's just a shame that if satcom and SiteChattr use different nips. But I will see if I can display satcom notes on SiteChattr π₯°
And I thought I had done my research to see if any of these "chat anywhere on the web" plugins are nostr-based π
Well, yes, it's like it. But I see that satcom uses kind 1, whereas I built on top of the almost published NIP-22 (Generic Comments). This way those posts do not appear on all nostr apps that query for kind 1.
Thinking back on my childhood and teenage years. We had a TV in every room. I had one, my brother's had each their own. Those boxes were constantly on, even for background noise. I liked watching TV, especially Simpsons and a documentary show called Galileo. "I'm getting smarter" I told myself. But over the years the quality of Galileo dropped significantly. At some point they carved out a whole section for a fat guy called Jumbo reporting on the biggest junk food he could eat. I got really frustrated with this enshittification. When I saw a Jumbo special announced, I was around 18 years old, and I finally decided to switch off the TV for good.
So, I guess thank you Jumbo for pushing me over the edge and never wanting to watch TV again π«‘

Not sure if that's absolutely accurate, what if some of your grand parents mingled with distant or not so distant cousins? π
Just went over there and, as usual, one-clicked logging in with my nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm extension.
I noticed that they posted the algo for transparency but I wonder if doing this can't be gamed af. Looks like you have 10 times less notice-ability if you post about Bitcoin and 3.5 times more if you post with #grownostr but I'm not a coder so I may be talking out of my ass. I'll let y'all be the judge:

nostr:note168fmr2k64s0y0xj370h63aj3fdahx0l9emu0v4uw626vpv3tq0uqt2jkwx
I think that's cool to know the algorithm and be able to choose. If there's a diversity of algos running in this ecosystem it becomes impossible to game them all.
That's what I needed, thanks! Wish the quality of search was standard in most clients
How do you search for posts by a specific npub? #asknostr
React-Native although I kinda wished I would have gotten into Flutter, from what I see it looks like it has a better developer experience.
