I guess they probably have a layered approach. Keep most deposits in addresses that have strict privacy rules, but be more relaxed with the more active customer facing address to save fees. Maybe.

I have a lot to read up on, and I'll be wasting your time until i do it... I *think* what you said is that 64 bits is not enough entropy, so attackers can just roll RNG for a few weeks and be able to spend a utxo... Because multiple signatures can be valid for ECDSA. Is it 64 bits because that's the actual length of the string, or because two possible signatures cuts the real or final entropy in half?

I think I'm also hearing that part of good defense is to keep your sats in many addresses, so an attacker has to knock them down one at a time. (?)

It's a kinda magic 🪄

The answer is in the question. Not using Google to search. Trying different methods out until you find one that works for you also is an option.

Also, here is some information on improving searches online:

To improve searches online when using a search engine, consider the following tips:

1. **Use specific keywords**: Instead of using vague terms, try to be as specific as possible with your search query. This will help the search engine understand what you're looking for and provide more relevant results.

2. **Use quotes**: If you're searching for an exact phrase, put it in quotes. This tells the search engine to look for the exact phrase rather than individual words.

3. **Use operators**: Most search engines support operators like site:, filetype:, and inurl:. These can help you narrow down your search results. For example, site:twitter.com will only show results from Twitter.

4. **Exclude words**: If you want to exclude certain words from your search results, use the minus sign (-) before the word. For example, searching for "Venice -Italy" will show results about Venice that aren't related to Italy.

5. **Use advanced search**: Many search engines have an advanced search feature that allows you to filter results by factors like date, location, and file type.

6. **Check your spelling**: Make sure you've spelled your search query correctly. A single typo can significantly affect your search results.

7. **Try different search engines**: Different search engines may provide different results, so it's worth trying a few to see which one works best for your query.

8. **Use long-tail keywords**: Instead of using broad keywords, try using more specific long-tail keywords. For example, instead of searching for "AI", try searching for "AI models for image generation".

9. **Avoid vague questions**: Try to ask specific questions instead of vague ones. This will help the search engine provide more relevant results.

10. **Refine your search**: If you're not getting the results you want, try refining your search query. You can do this by adding or removing keywords, or by using different operators.

This is golden... This is so golden, I'm bookmarking it

I think I read somewhere that ECDSA was broken and if it were the only encryption our keys would be toast, so basically bitcoin is standing on two remaining legs since there are three layers of encryption. This is all far beyond my level. Oh, it was saying that's why spending from the same address twice endangers your keys. The only take away that I understood well enough to stick was that you should always spend the whole txo and change should go to new address.

But that seems worrying. Seems like there are two ways Bitcoin has already broken - doubling blocksize means miners have to centralize, and ECDSA being knocked out means future attackers have less work to do. At least, that's how I hear it. I'm painfully aware of my lack of understanding.

Yeeeeee jargon me 2 stoopid....

So we could've made LN just be fast and settle on the chain without segwit?

Can we fix it?

I don't care if fork needed. The only thing bitcoin needs is "lightning" fast transactions, F'ing with blocksize and fees is retarded.

(Yes, I will google the jargon, I'm retarded but not ass9)

Isn't that guy on the left pushing UFOs now?

All easily faked. Don't trust ; verify. How are you going to verify these things? It is irresponsible to believe their word. You have a duty to explicitly disbelieve everything they say until they genuinely prove it to you - not to "experts" - to you.

Is there anything they left out? Any little "evidence" they could wish for? Its like they had a wishlist and checked off boxes. Its too perfect. Getting everything so perfect is like guessing 12 random words - it seems doable until you try to math it. Its about as believable as every election always returning approximately 50/50 results, with one winner taking it by a tiny margin. That doesn't happen in real elections. Its too perfect. It only makes sense when you don't think about it. But its actually absurd if you do think about it.

This dude goes to the trouble of hiding his face (which doesn't even look like that guy), printing a gun to not be connected to owning a gun, using special ammunition to not be too loud, using a planned getaway with a public bike that they still haven't isolated, drops his stuff off in central park, goes on a bus anonymously, and no camera sees his whole face the entire time.

Then magically has all the stuff they told us he dropped, days later, when he could have dumped it at any point for a few days. And he hasaa manifesto. Who the F writes manifestos? Would you write one if you were going to do something like that? That's absurd. Would you keep a printed gun after using it? Also absurd. Would you carry fake IDs around after committing a crime? There were probably 100 trash cans he could dump those into between NYC and Pennsylvania.

Its not believable. That dude isn't that dumb.

What IS believable is that a criminal capable of planning that is also capable of planting evidence on someone who looks reasonably similar. He doesn't look the same, IMO, but I see a similarity. What's the best way to not get caught? Make someone else get caught. That makes sense. Maybe it was the government - they do seem to be pushing this too hard. Maybe it was just someone else. Its not a conspiracy theory ; its just common sense.

America scares me a hell of a lot more than China does.

We are ruled by criminals. So are they - but our criminals are worse. Way worse.
