On the surface these kind of developments seem like a good thing to me. Decentralizing AI and bringing that level of power to the power user at home seems like a promising development.

Yes! Apparently this author has quite a treasure trove of material to dig through so I’m thinking I’ve got my reading cut out for me for this year.
This has been one of the most enlightening reads I’ve had in a LONG time. Maybe it was the lucid writing style, or maybe it’s just my first experience with breaking out of the traditional Western way of thinking, but it really opened my mind to a new way of viewing the world.
Normally, when I read philosophical texts they are so convoluted and esoteric they are pretty well unreadable let alone comprehensible, but this guy really blew it out of the water.

I’m having one of those moments, brought on by having one of those days, where I’m thinking the baseline IQ of the population at large may have dropped to unrecoverable levels.
It just seems like there is such a general lack of giving a fuck present in so many people I meet. Couple that with the generalized dystopian appearance of an overwhelming number of cities and locales, and I say to myself, can any of it be saved? Have we truly passed a point of no return? Is it even worth working to maintain?
I guess in the end all I can worry about is myself and my own actions. Personal responsibility. Maybe that’s what people are lacking. At any rate, handle your business fine folks. It’s messy out there.
