She's safely waking up to a busy day in Athens, all good!
For anyone concerned, I was able to connect with my daughter in Paris via email, and confirmed all was well. She has safely made it to Athens, and will be home (USA) later this week.
I'm sure she'll have some stories to tell.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts sent her way.
Anytime! I've been through most of this site and a few others. I think Saifedean's blog on steaks led me here. After this, I've read about half of the mega-thread started by The Bear in 2006 about his years of meat-only consumption. I can hunt that link down too, but plenty of what is in there is pretty hotly contested still, and some may be flat out wrong. Not the best for onboarding.
Oh, here's Saifedean's article...
I would start here - this site has lots of resources about low carb diets.
So are the typos! Still not used to my mobile FOSS keyboard choices.
Srsly tho, what would really make longer-form notes more ux-functional would be the abilities to draft and edit. Not really part of the nostr ux now, but I'm confident it is possible.
Something I've also been thinking about, and may make a longer main note about, is that while you can't delete a note with any certainty, you also cannot assume that a note persists indefinitely; all relays (as I understand it) have the abililty to prune content, and will not simply aggregate every note ever relayed. Maybe there is value in setting an advised retention policy for each note or event, like I could request this note expire and be pruned after 30 days...
As someone who is extremely low carb (average less than 5g/day), I can say that they are not required for energy. My energy levels are far more consistent throughout the day than they were when consuming more carbs.
The carbs I do consume are mainly the lactose in dairy products, dextrose in cured meats, and the occasional treat - like a handful of raisins, or a bite or two of cheesecake. I actually try to consume any *treats* at night, so I don't inadvertently end up in an energy fluxuation pattern. Carbs in the morning are horrible.
They'd be easier to read in something other than Latin.
Seriously though, as long as they don't require obligatory art (HATED that on Medium, which would fight you if you didnt want to use art, or wanted to use more art), thismlooms great.
I'm more of a long form writer myself, so happy to see someone optimizing a bit for it.
She confirmed this morning she was headed to Athens, was hoping for a confirmation she'd arrived safely before making a full update. Hopefully I'll have that in the next few hours.
(She's not the greatest about checking in, but I didn't train her that way, much rather she feel comfortable operating on her own than asking for a digital leash)
You can do it! Having the awareness of the carb cravings is a huge step. They dont really go away - you just becone better at recognizing them.
As someone who often replies with "no problem" or "no worries", I see how this is behavior that could use evaluation and future modification.
I don't think "you're welcome" would ever become my default response. I'm liking the idea of "anytime". What is your recommendation?

Whst a day! After spending way more time on here than normal, I have to say I am really happy with how many of my recent decisions are playing out.
No regrets.
Im reading this kind of like #nostr getting a sell recommendation from Cramer. With the wizards here, how can we fail?
WAGMI
#nostr is for enemies? J/k. We'll see how that works out with no delete or block* - and we can all log in under any npub to view public notes.
* you can only block what you see, not what other ppl see
