Disagreeable. Prove me wrong.

Agree. We over-consume salt in so many ways. I've switched to unsalted butter for myself, and still buy salted butter for my family. When I get a taste of theirs now, it is salty enough to almost be off-putting.

I don't really eat breads or carbs or vegetables or anything else that might need extra salt for flavor.

On the flip side, my sweat isn't salty, so I am not sweating out toxins (excessive salt), and not retaining excessive water.

I suppose this is just my version of a heart-healthy, low sodium diet!

Last night I said things were satisfactory. I may have spoken too soon. Now I just think its all complicated but it will work its way out.

I know, vague observations of an unknown situation. It involves group dynamics, friendships that go back a ways (a decade or more), marital issues (mine and others) alcoholism, disrespect, memories, sticking up for others, and lots of unknowns that I have no control over.

Why does it have to be so hard to just find a friend? ffs!

Not for my own benefit, or on my own time. I have, when I was much younger, and was interested with fitting in with certain groups to attract their women. I'm sure I let my daughter paint them a couple times for her entertainment. I'm a habitual nail biter, and I tried to break that habit at one time by being extra attentive to my fingernails, painting, trimming, filing - but it didn't take. I've become resigned to accepting nail biting as one of my vices.

Skirts? They aren't practical for me. And I don't need to draw that kind of attention to myself.

Manscaping? Tried it. Not a fan, wastes lots of time and money I could spend on other things. I'm more of a fan of natural hair growth, on both men and women. That's just the kind of savage I am.

Absolutely. That was in 2003, I think.

My furniture store I managed in 2005-6 jad one under the counter as a backup for when the computers went down. That would have been the last time I used one from the merchant side.

Last time I used one was at a gas station, where I was filling up the boat (80 gallon gas tank). They wanted extra precautions for me pre-paying $250 (us dollars) on my credit card. Had to get phone approval from the card company and they ran a card imprint as well. Total headache. Sold that boat, now I have a smaller boat with a 25 gallon tank (comparable to an SUV). This while thing was about 5 years ago, maybe a couple more.

Something I actually carried with me when I did door to door sales.

Many of those independent thinkers still haven't freed themselves from wanting to believe in a savior (whether it is religious, political, or economic), or from the slave mentality instilled in them by a slave society, always deferring to authority, leadership, or the cult (again, religious, political, or economic). Many have not accepted their own death.

Successful day in many ways.

I call it bitcoin, and I think it is scaling as much as it needs to through L2s. I think lightning and liquid will both go through some evolution before they actually see widespread use, but that evolution shouldn't require changes to the L1. I don't see any issue with bitcoin's present fungibility. Last I checked, my bitcoin was still free of banks.

I think our only point of contention is whether or not it is reasonable to make changes to an L1 based on proposed needs for an L2. I say it is not.

There are thoughts that get noted here that I find I no longer have any desire to engage to refute. Well, maybe a little desire, but I open the editor to post a reply, think about the energy it will take to type a reply, anf for what? Best case, we end up in some discussion (read - more energy expended by me), and at the end of it, we just agree to let it go, nobody's view has changed. Maybe it's a seed of knowledge, or one slice in a death of 1000 cuts, but so what? So I close the editor and move on.

Two subjects in the last hour that triggered this response - "crypto" and "climate". Other things, "vaccine", and "carbon" will likely be in the same response pattern.

Is this judging, and perhaps egotistic? Yes, but having some filters helps.

This guy.

I had one of these games, probably on a 2600, that I never figured out the accelerator. Or maybe I had a sketchy paddle. Fucking hated that game, because my car would just sit there idling. I could get it to slowly roll forward across the line. That was all. It damaged me.

After scanning all of this, I don't see how it improves my experience of storing value (bitcoin, on chain, with my keys) or transferring value to someone else (bitcoin or lightning or strike or venmo).

I'm sure it is good for something, but I don't know that it is good for me.
