Ty Karnage. Satellite is my primary client; not sure mute words are coming there anytime soon. I probably wouldn't use them much, except maybe to get rid of airdrops. Satellite's threading lends itself well enough to my purposes, by only showing the top message in the conversation, and a count of replies. If the top message isn't something I care about, it is easy enough to scroll on by. It also sorts (and continually resorts) its feed by latest reply to a conversation, so the busy current conversations are at or near the top of the list.
My only gripe here (and I've expressed it often) is there is only one list, "Following". (Technically there is also the "Featured" list, which Stuart was talking about the other day - but I don't need a popular algorithm, I need my curated lists).
I tried going back to Amethyst the other day, after getting Amber set up. It was like going from a mostly calm neighborhood pub to a disco, and not really in a pleasant way for me. Muting words wouldn't make a difference there either. To each their own, though.
Do you want to fuck? That is what dating apps optimize for. There are better ways to meet people you want more from.
Gn #nostr.
I believe at this point, my experience with nostr has shown me more about what I find to be noise than anything else, allowing me to hone in on what I choose as signal.
And to our orange friends, I find almost everything about money and economy to be noise these days. Nobody knows for sure how or when things will play out. Running around like chicken little every time somebody says something is just silly.
Once you see how things work, there's little use trying to relearn it all the time. Maybe an occasional reminder is nice, but so is moving on and learning something new.
I get that. But 2 things.
1. You wouldn't feed a cow the same diet as a walrus, just because both are animals
2. Adaptive, yes. But there is a diffrtence between what we've adapted to be able to survive on, although not optimal, and what we have been selected to thrive on, as optimal nutrients.
I agree! Eating dog food is dumb dumb. So is eating cow food, or rabbit food. DUMB DUMB!
Nope. zaps go to the attached wallet of the author of the post, not the person reposting. I always found that interesting in #zapathon when people would repost memes. Now you can include a note reference in your own note and post it that way, more like a quote-repost. Then you authored a note, so you would get the zaps (unless they still zapped the note embedded in your note).
That's quite excellent, sir. However, the term "Colored" may end up raising some of the wrong eyebrows.
These clearly aren't shite markers then, as you've been advertising. Shite markers would be so dried out they would be streaky color at best on first use, fresh out of the package. You wouldn't be able to get anywhere near as consistent a color coverage as the light blue or magenta. The reddish brown looks a little drier, but that would be about the best I would expect out of true shite markers.
It's OK, I am sure your availability is limited. I would go down to my local diner and grab a cup full of the markers they give to the kiddos to draw on activity page handouts, but I don't think they trust those kids with markers anymore and have crayons instead. Safer to stick in your nose and ears, I guess. Maybe I could just send you a few golf pencils. You could just imagine they were colorful. I have some broken ones sitting around from my past life as a karaoke host.
Best one yet! Although the pink haired skele is great too.
Will you be publishing as NFTs? (j/k - already right clicked and own my favs!)
Somewhere along the way, the western world seems to have forgotten who is in power, who is pulling the strings of control when needed.
Pick your favorite nefarious cabal. Maybe these days it is the WEF, but I would guess it is far smaller group, and less obvious. It really doesn't matter much which group they are, or what they tell us to call them.
The group has been in power for quite some time, probably since the ends of the Roman Empire. They would have easily been able to sit back through the times of the British Empire. Some might argue Zionist roots.
The way they have maintained that level of control is by making sure everyone else didn't really know where to look or how to go about taking over. One of the tools to use is the Hegelian dialectic. I won't explain it here, but any time I see a clear message of divisiveness, something appearing to support an "us vs. them" mentality, I see that control structure. It's not hard to engineer. Mean girls in middle school can do a passable job of it.
us vs. them doesn't really help us or them. Under any serious inspection, it is when we cooperate and work together that both benefit. Whenever it seems like the world is heading in that direction, a new separation is tested. Race has been the nebulous factor in that separation plenty of times, in plenty of ways. Now we see gender and sexuality pushed on hard as being a separation.
As your uncle might say, you gotta keep 'em separated. They'll be too busy worrying about each other's power to see the powers that are in the background, quietly pulling the strings and gaining more wealth and power.
It takes a strong mind to ignore most of that, or at least accept it and move on. I can accept whites are being pitted against everyone else, and choose not to engage in that effort further. I have other more important things to worry about than the genetics of my neighbors, like providing for my children and making sure they have the best opportunity to succeed in this world, while teaching them what traps to avoid and helping them navigate around them.
We'll see how it works out. Got my popcorn.
I don't understand why people think they should eat foods that animals eat. Just because an animal eats it, doesn't mean you or I should.
Sure we could, but that don't mean we should. Might hurt later.
I believe in soil that is of an agreeable composition to nurture the growth of the plants that in turn nourish the animals that I prefer to eat. Seems magic enough for me, but through the miracles of co-evolution, there's plenty of it to be had here.

Spent the weekend peeling wallpaper... boo.
....
With my son. Yay!
This week, prep and prime. Next weekend, paint his room the color he picked.
Agree.
Rather annoyed that graphene lets google play send a notification that it has important notifications, which on inspection is a reminder to enable its notifications. Nope. No thanks. Nothing sandboxed google play has to say will be something I care to hear or act on.
Gn #nostr.
Wiped out.
I don't think I understand this at all, maybe something lost in translation.
Maybe part of "the point" is to accept our understanding of the past is our best guess, and still be able to use that along with our present values and emotions to still decide on and act in ways that we believe consistent with improving our situation.
