I wonder if the survivors of the real Titanic had to settle up. You'd guess there weren't sufficient records for the process, but you never know.
Anyone else noted how stable the price of #Mmonero has become lately? It's been at or around £140 for as long as my recent memory allows me to recall.
I don't think movies stand repetition in the way music does, but I could probably watch This Wonderful Life or Blazing Saddles quite a few times.
Honestly, the best cure for almost all ailments is the most expensive; it's rest and most specifically sleep.
I never had a bug I couldn't sleep off if I had the chance. But I understand the time to do that is increasingly expensive in our busy lives :(
That's interesting. My mobile client doesn't seem to have that ability inherently either. I'm fairly sure Coracle does though. I use it on desktop.
I think #amethyst is the beau mobile #nostr client I've found so far.
I like #coracle best on a larger screen.
An interesting argument. I suppose the people who invest in land are betting on their country in the same way. I'd never had that thought before, but most American home owners are betting on America. Ideas are most interesting when you abstract them I think.
It seems to me, the hardest thing is #uncertainty.
You meet a lot of people who are adamant #btc will keep rising.
You meet a lot of people who think it will crash to nothing.
I do own some btc but I'm not categorically certain what it will do.
For me it's just a reasonable risk to take. My own guess is there is some, as yet to be determined natural level for #bitcoin.
I'm making a reasonable guess it will be higher than I bought it.
And it's not as unique as both sides claim either. After all we're spending a certain amount of time here. We're taking a #risk that time won't be wasted.
That's normal #human #behaviour. The only unusual thing about our time is how sure we are that we're right.
That's the arrogance of our age.
Yeah, I'd have to agree. I'd want 3/1 odds for that bet, maybe more.
#asknostr I wonder if there's any easy way to block #telegram links, since I have no intention of ever joining that #network?
That's worth bearing in mind. I use two different ones, so far without any iisues, but I'll be careful in view of that.
I'm sorry I can't actually help with that, so you can safely disregard the rest of my post if it's purely a practical question.
However, I'm curious why people always want to import their old social stock. After all, it's unlikely the culture will the the same, so equally unlikely old connections will work the same way.
We seem to live in a world where no one wants a clean break. It maybe because I'm from another era, but I think half the fun of moving to a new city was leaving your old life behind.
No one does that any more. Everyone stays in contact with all the people they've ever know. I wonder if that's a good thing.
Having been around a little while now, I think #nostr could be interesting. It all depends on the ratio of wheat and chaff with these #privacy havens.
It's not always easy to see which way that will go. #TheFreenetProject looked like and amazing idea, but it filled up with really offensive material really fast.
#I2p on the other hand has managed to remain fairly varied and stay worthwhile, albeit still too awkward for #mainsteam use.
I wonder what the deciding factor is?
Maybe the mac version doesn't work properly. I'm not a mac user but from what I read, most modern apps use the DMG format right?
I use #Firefox on #manjaro #kiwi on android and #waterfox on Windows. I tend to use Firefox focus on #ios
What OS is this on?
It really should be a lot more common. #Bisq is an amazing #p2p over #tor system, honouring the soul of #bitcoin to the letter but it barely gets used.
There are already bitcoin only wallets. There are several in #Linux repos for a start.
Well there might be miner but I take your point :)
