SP is super simple. I’ve used it on Cake wallet and it worked great. And the receiver I sent to was totally new to the crypto world as well
Quoting an article on BIP47:
> Complexity and User Experience: The need for a notification transaction and the management of payment codes can be complex for average users unfamiliar with advanced Bitcoin features.
> Cost Implications: The notification transaction necessary to establish a payment channel incurs blockchain fees, which could be a barrier in times of high network congestion.
They love venmo because it’s an excellent experience. Venmo and cash app is the bare minimum required
I agree that certainty of supply is a feature. But I’m pretty sure there were inflation bugs even with a transparent chain, no?
Agree

This job market is worse than I thought
The scary thing is that there are people out there that believe Lightning is a good user experience
Using Silent Payments for on-ramps and off-ramps to L2s would be a massive improvement alone. Such a simple solution
What provides best in class privacy for non-custodial bitcoin? Genuinely asking
It’s foolish to spend Bitcoin on anything, let alone on silly “zaps”.
Therein lies the problem.
The zealotry in Bitcoin is just sad. Morons yucking it up. It didn’t use to be that way.

The answer is that there are varying levels of complexity involved in the cryptography. The math that you’re trusting in Bitcoin is basically addition. Monero math that you’re trusting is much harder.
I’ve been interesting in using Monero *less* anonymously for a long time. People want to know for certain who paid them, so sending a proof and having your app automatically verify that makes total sense. Just wondering in this case who is doing it since it’s on a third party relay.
Monero tips can include the payment proofs, but who then is looking up to verify that it all matches? Whose compute does that?
I’m ready to top-up my nutsack account and message you on the simplex app!
I hate cheesy names and phrases, but bitcoiners love them. It’s a big problem for me.
It should not be required to be a cornball to use bitcoin 😭
The best thing about Nostr and Web5 is that it essentially ends vaporware. A messaging app is worth nothing. A social app is worth nothing. They have no value.
Great, now let’s focus on building washing machines, refrigerators, and stoves.
