I still think long-form publications are a bigger use case than tweets for nostr.
And now nostr:nprofile1qqsdcnxssmxheed3sv4d7n7azggj3xyq6tr799dukrngfsq6emnhcpspz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgmwaehxw309a6xsetxdaex2um59ehx7um5wgcjucm0d5hsz9nhwden5te0dp5hxapwdehhxarj9ekxzmny9u78m52f and nostr:nprofile1qqs06gywary09qmcp2249ztwfq3ue8wxhl2yyp3c39thzp55plvj0sgprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qguwaehxw309a6xsetrd96xzer9dshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qgmwaehxw309amksetpwshxsctswpuhgctkv4exutnrduhsw0qlr4 and bringing that to ebooks and more.
That’s a tough case to make when the majority of relays make zero promises about uptime or data retention.
Ephemerality is well suited to tweets though bc they’re low value
Social use cases don’t work with anonymity lol. You at least need pseudonyms, which is how Nostr works
Any links to these apps? Never heard of Olas or Chachi
Did you move onosendai development? I haven’t been able to keep up with the progress since you shuffled things around a couple months ago
But Primal should still be collecting the data, right? Like SOME of the notifs arrive. Just not all.
Do you think there is a place for centralized indexers at all? I like the idea of using them and then falling back to client queries if needed
Holy moly, the Read tab is awesome. I didn’t even know half of these articles existed.

Yeah for some reason my notifications are much more accurate in Damus. Idk why but nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg is always missing notifications in comparison.
There’s quite a lot of proven near death experiences, but clearly it doesn’t happen to everyone. Not sure why that is.
Congrats on this and the early designs for social recovery. It’s fantastic to see!
I am personally more concerned though about the safety of *using* bitcoin. It’s so easy for people to wreck themselves with tons of dust from smallish transactions. And also the risk of sending to wrong addresses. Seems like lightning solves for both, in a way. Is that right?
The decentralization theater on Bluesky is actually astounding. There is zero point in running your own PDS if the coordination layer (relay, indexer, etc) is centralized.
All you’re doing at that point is giving free labor / resources to #bluesky corporation.
It’s literally been nothing but good news so far lol
There’s a lot of “Bitcoin backed loan” products coming out. A looot of people are gonna get completely wrecked. It’s highly irresponsible to market such a thing to regular poor people
Nostr is verifiable data.
Sign code into Nostr events, and you get Verifiable Code.
But here’s the problem: you still have to trust the environment running that Verifiable Code. If you rely on a third-party machine, how can you guarantee it’s executing your code as intended and not something entirely different?
Enter Verifiable Computations. Runners take verifiable data + verifiable code, execute them, and return the results + a cryptographic proof that nothing was changed.
Now, recipients can verify if the script ran exactly as intended, making runners trustless partners.
Welcome to verifiable, trustless DVMs on Nostr.

DVM is really a misnomer. It’s not data, it’s operating on data.
It’s compute. You give your data and it offers compute, right? Or wait, it gets the data from relays, not you.
So you plug in the data location and you ask it to run compute on that data.
Okay but how do you stop that from happening on nostr? People still post bait here and they FOR SURE post cringe AI content here.
1. Reward non-bait content
2. Reward (provably?) human content
Check your own tone with your snarky winky faces bud. You get what you give.
So you’re being misleading on purpose? Why not just be straight forward? This isn’t twitter where you need to bait people for engagement
What is the risk there that doesn’t exist with running my own ecash mint?
What is risky about lightning? The risk that payments will fail? Lol
TBD was shut down before they could release a single product lol.
They deserve it for thinking that “open standards” are so important. Standards don’t matter if there’s no product.
Number one complaint I’ve heard is that new accounts appear blank and can’t follow people. Nostr account creation and propagation is bugged. Need DHT badly.
