I tried them all, the doc at nostr:npub126yeu6j4c9rhrfz63r9ep2qzvgaquvs3ag2ywpt79jv8z7tvu47qkx6r3n changed and the # was removed

What would you suggest for a home ln node to be running in k8s ?
I would hope it does NOT. It is better/easier security-wise and the insistant users can use the USB ports to add a Wifi module. I would personally deactivate those ports entirely.
The ratio spec/price is rather high IMO but in those products aiming at a near 0 skills requirement, the good integration with the OS is key and that looks nice I must say.
I think more and more home users will become more aware of noise levels (ask me how I know...) so I hope to see a fanless solution showing up.

My problem is not related to Alby. I just realized the issue while trying to test Alby and send my BlueWallet "fortune" to Alby to test aorund here.
Commnunicating several times on random social site before locking user out of funds is not decentralization and not the way to go.
I am with you on not mixing up an app and the network however, as a user testing around, the app often makes up or highlight the flaws of the network.
My expectation is to be able to have 1 sat, in my wallet, and have this 1 sat. still availble to me 10...20...30y from now. My phone can also get notifications from Apps... it would have been smarter to announce to users there.
Decisions..... Decisions. I am currently running a voltage cloud node as well as my start9 embassy node. I had better success routing payments with my voltage node but not nearly enough to justify the $23 dollars a month that I have to pay voltage for hosting fees. I must say nostr:npub15klkdfx9sh3y096a5jf895rcvkmkzvly2fm9dgxq6huqhp9576jsav4m73 Has been reliable AF. I do believe a reliable node is a necessity for building and integrating bitcoin into business strategies. Do I pay the fees as a trade off for the ultimate reliability? Or Am I better off investing in building my own robust system using a cpu larger than a Raspberry Pi?
I would (and I do) look towards building a small k8s cluster (Ou.can start with 1 machine) and use Intel NUC or similar. Those may even be cheaper than RPIs those days 😉
For the cluster, I suggest lurking around the talos.dev project.
You will do MUCH more with that than with a bunch of RPis.
I would agree with that based on what I have seen so far.
Thanks for being part of it nostr:npub1p54q74kgnlfkfwyhy0l7wcgz89qppj3luj9cqncdlphzem6qmagszw8llg
Congrats to nostr:npub1zlqcln3dks66j0e9mypct0fhzkdpnxhlc76wjtqx62srwt76sk7strauds for the sleek Android client.
I do understand. Although they did not even manage to notify their users though their app about that. Not very cool to say the least.
I will soon provide a database dump of all the ways to contact me in social media. Stay tuned, I am compressing it as we speak...
I actually tried migrating but the "backup" BlueWallet provides is a link to a server that no longer runs...
As I mentioned, I don't care much about the few Satoshi I lost (alrhough I would have used them to experiment around here). My immediate reaction is to kick out this BlueWallet fromy phone and I now associate apps like @alby to this bad experience if that would not be for nostr:npub1xv8mzscll8vvy5rsdw7dcqtd2j268a6yupr6gzqh86f2ulhy9kkqmclk3x ;)
Those scenarii don't help install confidence with users.
New to Nostr so maybe someone can explain the following to me.
During the onboarding, Nostr suggests to keep your private key secret and secure. So far so good.
Then the very first onboarding Screen of most app asks for the private key to be pasted ->Here<-
I just opened the @blowater page and that's the very first thing that shows up.
Isn't pasting your private key all around on the web defies the purpose of a **private** key ? Could not proxy Accounts be used for those unsafe use cases ?
The idea behind #lightningnetwork is seducing but its reality is less glamorous.
Exactly 7mo. after testing @bluewallet I learn that they decide to shutdown their one server, effectively locking me out from my non-less-glamorous 109 Satoshi.
We could argue about the specific BlueWallet practises but alone the fact that this situation can occure is less than comforting.
Being in charge with their own keys is not trivial for many. But even that is not enough if you need to rely on non-trustless 3rd parties.
On a side note, I wonder if BlueWallet made ANY communication about all those "unmoved" funds. Obviously, I am not after 109 Satoshi but the idea of being locked out of even 1of them is unpleasant.
