LITTLE TECH IS A FRAUD

I’ve been interested in the “little tech” idea that Silicon Valley, greys as nostr:npub1xeejes6lu4scttcmzytq5wfad3e6rljpmhc3snqs89xz3jjavfasnuz3mx would call them, have entered the political realm in earnest this cycle and thrown their weight behind the Trump/Republican campaign.

I follow Peter Thiel quite a bit because he’s clearly highly intelligent so I wanted to see what this was all about after hearing Pete Quinones and Tom Luongo both raise it because Thiel is a central player to this idea along with the Elongated Muskrat (King of the Cantillionaires).

Let me tell you what it is about - a hybrid corporate capture of retarded rich people, completely disconnected from reality, backed by populist-right pundits who can’t grok Bitcoin but believe in Gold and Neoreactionaryism, trying to take control of the political apparatus in order to direct it to their own ends to avoid the United States being ruled by Globalists from the Democrats for the foreseeable future.

I had to stop watching Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz after 34 minutes when Ben talked about their amazing investment in Worldcoin which apparently solves the problem of AI/bots on the internet (he doesn’t mention this is done via shitcoins distributed thru retina scans - you just have to know that part). https://youtu.be/n_sNclEgQZQ

These are the greys supposedly backing the reds to move the world forward. Along with Elon “WeChat” Musk, Peter “Palantir” Thiel, Mark “LifeLog” Zuckerberg and others.

Balaji is right about the Network State, that is needed. The current mob of rich fuckwits trying to takeover the American right and use Bitcoin to prop up the USD shitcoin are not the answer for that.

This US election is going to sorely disappoint the world. Whether it’s communist Kamala and Tampon Tim, or Shitcoiner Trump and captured Vance will ultimately be irrelevant. But should it be the latter you can expect rightists to praise it to high heaven early on only for it all to fall apart.

No-one can fix this system. Commie Kamala is just a speed run to the cliff but nor will A16Z or Trump-family shitcoinery help.

It needs to be rebuilt which neither side wants to countenance today. Open decentralised protocols where the best ideas will win on merit at the heart of it is the only way, not lipstick on a uniparty pig.

We’re minimum 4 years away from anything good happening, probably more like 6-8. We need Bitcoin to rip and financially empower a bunch of Ancaps to come forth and destroy the Overton window because neither end of the current one is prepared to do the needful to take the world forward.

I hope more normies wake up in the meantime and even more get to building guillotines and chopping cunts down to size so the real greys who want to build a sustainable new system based on the digital realm don’t have to deal with as much of the incumbent psychopathy on both sides as we see today.

Bloodshed is inevitable in such turmoil - stop trying to pretend you’re above it. You’re not. It is what it is.

The Greys need a real foothold that normies can get behind, a real vision and future. We’ve got 5-6-7-8 years to deliver it to them, to set the exit to this fourth turning to be something meaningful.

This will set the course for the next 250 years so I hope you’re all ready for this moment.

There will be martyrs. No getting around it. Sign me up.

The "Pale Blue Dot" picture of Planet Earth was acquired by the Voyager 1 probe 34 years 6 months ago, from a distance of about 6 billion km (4 billion miles) miles before its camera system was shut down to conserve power. Think about this picture the next time your boss sweats you about a deadline lol.

Some nice Whitetails hanging out near the stands this week. These are bush bucks. No farmland for miles. Just thick bush and siesmic cutlines. And muskeg. And they will be ghosts during daylight except for one week of the rut when they are thinking with the wrong head.

The garden is taking over. I can’t stop it. I swear I heard one of the squash plants say “Feed me, Seymour!” Lol

You forgot to show the 2/3rds of a lift that the framers tossed to the side because it’s warped beyond use for framing. Fiat money, fiat forestry management, fiat materials, fiat houses. This is “progress”. While all the #1 studs get exported for top dollar when we have the goods growing right in our back 40.

Likely should have gloved up before touching this but had to take a pic anyway.

I did once. “I want a divorce and you can have the house and car.” Those 12 words turned out to be the best gift ever.

I’m totally guessing, but it looks like there’s a global conflict coming up and an even bigger totalitarian push with very unsettled times in the intervening years. I’m thinking 3 decades minimum. Easy self custody, and layer 2’s and 3’s have a long way to go before they are useable and secureable by people with limited tech skills. I think part of the reason we have banks is because a great majority of people aren’t equipped to handle the responsibility of being their own bank. The security part especially.

I see constant talk about how Bitcoin is the way of the future, how it's the answer, the solution to the corrupt and mismanaged fiat system, a revolution, a way to put the power back in the hands of the people, digital capital, how it has so much utility, how it is the perfect money...

But I never

ever

ever

see anyone talking about how we'll actually value it in a future where it has achieved the goal that everyone idolizes. Why? Why does it feel like there's no true long-term plan?

Lots of people say "don't value your Bitcoin in fiat", but they just stop there. They don't even bother with trying to extend that thought. I feel like this is a mistake to not take it further.

Imagine a future where Bitcoin has become our new primary store of value and we no longer value Bitcoin in fiat. How will we value it at that point? What will one BTC be representative of?

How will we determine this new system of value? How will we arrive at a consensus for it? Will this somehow naturally and organically grow out of the decentralized nature as the system becomes more and more widespread and adopted and used, similar to the dynamics involved in the emergence of the first currencies? Or will there need to be some form of committee formed to make a decision about how we value BTC? Will governments play a role in this?

All the talk of "0.1 BTC is all you need" and "whole coiners" is all purely based on fiat, and doesn't address anything about the long term future of Bitcoin.

I was wondering if people can tell me if any thought is actually being put towards this. I'd like to read about any progress towards this, or about thought experiments for it, or see videos or listen to podcasts that discuss it. So any kind of recommendation of reading materials or other information would be greatly welcome.

Memes and pithy hype quotes aren't going to do shit for us. If this truly is a revolution, we need plans, and we need to ask the hard questions and deal with the tough discussions and start to think about the goal we all dream of actually being realized. Memes and parroting "stack sats" are the lowest of the low hanging fruit.

There will have to be a whole new period of price discovery for everything based on a lack of theft through currency devaluation. It won’t be neat and tidy. And I will be long dead.

Until everyone feels enough pain that they rally together and grind the whole thing to a halt by not reporting to their at-source-deducted fiat jobs for a few months, this march toward totalitarianism will continue. To do it by protest or insurgency will just play into the Gestapo’s hands. Start learning the skills, storing your preps and barter items.
