Wow good on your Dad for hooking you up at a young age. My techy friends all got Commore 64ās in the early 80ās. I was 20 years old and found a 386 pc with a DOS manual in my inlawsā basement in about 1992 that finally got me hands-on. I managed to get the 14.4 baud modem working and was soon on some local BBS sites. And downloading cracked games and software. Itās wild that our generation has seen the entire history of personal computing in our lifetimes. And to think that Man stumbled around in the dark with not so much as an electric light for thousands of years.

Hereās my Mom looking less than thrilled feeding me at 2am lol. And another pic of a happier day.
In the late 1960s, my mother went to Woodstock since she knew a doctor and pretended to be a nurse in his medical tent.
In the early 1970s, she went to travel Europe as a backpacker for over a year. And then, she traveled to Morocco through Gibraltar, and Morocco had a coup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1971_Moroccan_coup_attempt
So my mom got stuck there with little money and few exits. There was a government agent named Mohamed that courted her for a while and would pay her daily; he wanted to marry her and leave. She eventually managed to escape that situation, by befriending a Canadian pot dealer. He was chill, and gave her funds and said to pay him back once she gets home. So she stabilized and was able to get a flight home.
My mother and I are opposite personalities. She mostly didnāt raise me; my father did. And yet in every picture, her right ear is visible but never her left. To this day, I get jokes online about never showing my left ear. Every picture. People say it might not exist.
Itās fun how that works. Maybe Iāll show my left ear only for Nostr.

Wow your Mom looks so bright and hopeful in that pic. Good on her for getting through those years.
Haha havenāt dove in yet. Just getting a little exercise and getting the fire going.

Saturday night entertainment. Got about 20 splits out of one round. This Jack Pine is knotty as hell I knew it wasnāt going to be fun. But I could use the exercise. Iām sure glad I bucked it at 12ā not 16ā.

Pulled a fast one and toasted some bread in the bacon grease to make him think it was bacon. Same trick my parents used to play on us when we were little and they were broke. Just kidding. But they did tie a pork chop around my sisterās neck to get the dog to play with her. She wasnāt a cute child like I was hahaha.

Cool I was waiting for a Kratos Bitcoin shot
Yeah I think half will do. I donāt want to solve cold fusion tonight
Iāve never been a big recreational user. But Iāve always been into philosophy and psychology and exploring the mind and what it is capable of. The first time was 3g in capsule form about 6 years ago. And it was amazing. I wanted to see if anything would be revealed. The biggest thing I felt is that we are all a tiny piece of the same consciousness. And I had this feeling that some of the knowledge we have is ancient and originates from somewhere other than Earth. The most amazing side effect was seeing moving 256 million-colored geometric patterns of such complexity that I couldnāt imagine that they were being generated by my own neurons. And laughter. Everyone had long gone to bed at my buddyās place, and I was sitting in the living room on the couch laughing so hard that tears were rolling down my face. But the tears were partially caused by the psilocybes. I notice that my eyes water and my nose runs when I do them. I have also noticed that my stomach gets a little upset from them the next day. But I tried them in tea with lemon juice and that helped. But wasnāt a great trip that time for some reason. Thereās a lot of variables. Your mood going in, the dosage, the potency, the species of mushroom. Itās a crap shoot. Every time is different. And if it goes the wrong way, you learn even more because you have to hold your shit together for another 4-6 hours when you just want the visuals to stop and to be able to sleep. These I got from a friend who passed away a month and a half ago. I donāt even know where to get them otherwise, other than maybe online or from my one biker friend. My biggest advice is do them on the first evening of a long weekend. Your next day wonāt be productive. And youāll still have a day to catch up on sleep. I wouldnāt advocate regular use. But for educational purposes, itās worth trying.
I have the house all to myself today, tonight and all day tomorrow. The stereo has been cranked since I woke up. Got a little workout in. Read a little Ayn Rand. Might just have a fire tonight and go on a little vision quest. And see what the universe reveals when I am at totally at peace. Itās been a long time since Iāve had a really good trip. If I find myself clutching the grass early Sunday morning so as not to fall off the planet, Iāll reach out.
Steamed beet top stems are indeed good. First time trying them. A little butter and salt and voila, spinach on steroids. Itās amazing you can use every part of this plant.

Sometimes you can just get a little adhesive moleskin from a pharmacy and put it on common blister points. It makes that part of your foot so slippery against the sock that there can be no abrasion. I got a bad one hunting last year.
