A disengaged airline pilot with a thirst for wisdom (& #Bitcoin) Documenting what I've learnt through letters to my son, Reg.

My mind is such a cunt.

It readily makes cognitive leaps over my knowledge holes, and makes me feel like I truly grok a subject.

Then as soon as I'm questioned about it in the real world, it sits back and leaves me a stuttering mess.

I've never felt early to anything until #Bitcoin.

I've never felt REALLY early to anything until #nostr

My ownership of Bitcoin has definitely played a part in my optimism for the future, and as a consequence, my family planning. I've become somewhat of a natalist now 😅

Bitcoin has been the gateway to a 5-year deconstruction of many conditioned beliefs.

I still haven't worked out if I've joined a sophisticated cult or not, but I'm here for the ride. 🚂

I've got two young kids.

If someone were to stop me in the street and ask, "are you happy right now?"

I'd answer "fuck no".

However, when I manage to zoom out even just a little bit, I concede I'm the happiest I've ever been.

Parenting is an absolute mind bender. The parallels to Bitcoin are also hard to miss.

Just re organised my finances to go 100% Bitcoin.

It’s feels a bit like I’m rearranging the chairs on a rocket ship considering all my wealth was in cold storage anyway, but psychologically it feels great.

Just went back to look at the details...

Initially I took 13k out mid-2021. Think the interest rate was around 4.5% on that one. Repayment was roughly £250 per month.

In June this year I topped the loan balance up to £15k and went for a longer term which kept the £250 monthly payment the same and gave me an extra £6k to throw at BTC. (So I've borrowed £19k in total)

I've done exactly the same with HSBC. £15K @ 6.6%.

Already WELL into the green!
