Users on the Nostr network are no different than any other social network. Most of us interact minimally with each other, and when we do it’s usually with the loudest voices. Zapping is cute, but it only makes me sadder to see such real value tossed to the same popular users over and over again.

Is it because “influencer” content is higher quality, or they work harder at it than so many other brilliant voices on this network? I don’t think so.

This is my only “pessimistic” take about all of Nostr, and it’s not even about Nostr.

Humans are followers. It’s not a bad thing, except for the fact of when we ban together to dethrone the “centeral power structure” … it never actually 💯 works this way.

Sad but true. 😢

My idea for an #artstr postcard I’d take to #nostrasia in September.

5 QR codes (taken from Primal, so it tries to open a Nostr client) to npubs on each side of a 4” x 6” postcard.

These are mockups; I can get 100 for $35.

One side will have a QR code to the hashtag #artstr and the other side will have a QR code to the hashtag #art. Those QR codes are generated by Vistaprint based on the Primal website URL and will be placed in the purple box beside the text when I put in the order.

So if you regularly share your art on Nostr and want to be part of this, please say so in the comments - 9 slots currently open.

If more than 9 folks want to participate, I can do another run of a different postcard, and would ask for some fiat/sat help at that point.

Yes and yes. There are some clients that allow you to use "seed words", but you need to generate a new set of keys to use them. And yes, you can generate keys offline if you'd like. Check out Amber for Android.
