Sometimes, I really miss properly being a developer. It's great, you sit alone with your computer, no one is allowed to bother you, and you get to just sort out a puzzle all day 🧩
It's strangely meditative 🧘♀️
How would you define emotional maturity?
Everyday I strive to be some sort of conglomerate of Richard Feynman, Anthony Bourdain, and Maya Angelou 😝
One of the new features of Taproot Assets v0.4 are trustless on-chain swaps 💱 using Partially Signed Bitcoin Transactions (PSBTs).
With this feature users can swap assets for bitcoin or other Taproot Assets allowing non-interactive trade without requiring the trust of their counterparty or a centralized coordinator.
Example: Alice creates a PSBT that sends her Taproot Assets out and sends back to her a BTC amount. She posts that publicly. Bob can then come along whenever he likes, complete that PSBT, and broadcast it to the network effectively buying Alice's Assets in exchange for BTC.

People love to make jokes about 🍆 or gossip about the size of various 🍆
But really gents, no one, I mean not one soul on this planet, cares about the size of your 🍆 more than you do. There are indeed some ladies out there who care a lot about size, but the vast majority of us care about a few hundred other of your features dramatically more.
I think 🍆 gets talked about so much simply because y’all respond to it so dramatically. If you want to get a mans attention, talk about his 🍆!!!
I get that I can't stop the relay, but I can remove it from my page... ya? You would think you could do that.
...so um how do you delete a note where you made a bunch of typos?
The ability to have a nuanced take on a hot topic is a clear sign of an emotionally mature person.
Especially in the States in an election year 😬
DEI hiring is such a hot topic right now. And as always, a simple for or against take is going to miss a lot. The truth is nuanced.
First, gov mandated hiring quotas are immoral. And quotas as company policy are a backwards way to hire. However, diversity is a huge benefit to a business.
When I make hiring decisions I pursue diversity, and diversity of all kinds. Especially diversity in location of our workers in the business I have with my husband. All our devs are remote, and it’s a huge advantage to us to hire people from around the world. We are building global software, and so keeping a global perspective is very important. The insight you get from your workers who are different from you, live in different places, have different practices, etc, is so impactful and important.
After all, whatever it is that you make, you are making things for humans, and so having a broad perspective on humanity on your team is hugely helpful.
Alcohol can indeed cause some people a lot of problems. I also find wine to be a very effective social hack for me, and a really great bonding tool.
When used intelligently it's a value add.
Love that. Much more accurate. The problem is that when that crew says "masculinity" what they mean is 'I think I need to control you' and so having your eyes open means understanding that. Sigh.
What a bummer that the red pill crazies ruined the word “masculinity” for me. I love big strong dudes with beards and chest hair, who carry guns, and are smart capable people who can take on responsibility, that shit is amazing! Huge fan!
But now when I hear the word “masculinity” my brain hears “person who has no respect for your mind or decision making and who thinks he needs to control you.” And wow is that a horrific turn off. Run fast, run far.
Such a shame.
You suddenly find yourself in this room... who do you go talk to first???

If everything is emphasized then nothing is.
Why are you always yelling?
...I get exhausted reading your posts lol
We all know how important mutli-sig can be in securing a Bitcoin application, but did you know that now it’s possible to use multi-sig at every layer of the Taproot Assets data structure?
Mutli-sig security can be added to Taproot Assets at 4 different levels…
- Bitcoin script level
- Taproot key level
- Asset group key level
- Asset level

Everyone who goes on X and reports doxx posts of Fiatjaf for privacy violations, and publishes screenshot proof here in the replies, will receive at least 2121 sats from me.

😧 what's happening? What did I miss?!?
Did you change your values, or were you lying about them this whole time?
There are still a few more people in my life who I know I will wind up having to have this conversation with. It just boggles my mind. How do self proclaimed “libertarians” and “anarchists” go from declaring “no rulers no masters!” to now declaring that women should submit to the rule of their man and praising the dominant tyrant?!?
And it’s clear, if that’s what someone supports, their values are too wildly out of alignment with my own for us to have a close connection, but I just really want to know…
Did you change your values, or were you lying about them this whole time?
Yes. ...But, WHY ARE YOU YELLING???
You can do it that way, that's remote mode.
I’m migrating my LND nodes over to litd in integrated mode. This way I’ll be able to run LND with Loop, Pool, Faraday and Tapd seamlessly!
If you’re thinking about doing this, here is my cheat sheet…(for Ubuntu servers)
✅Backup node (Static channel backup file, server snapshot, etc.)
✅Stop LND (Via the cli, systemd, etc.)
✅Delete old binaries and repos
✅⚠️🚨 Don’t touch the .lnd data directory!!! ⚠️🚨
✅Install litd
✅If installing from source you’ll need GoLang, Nodejs, and Yarn
✅$ git clone https://github.com/lightninglabs/lightning-terminal.git
✅$ cd lightning-terminal
✅$ git checkout v0.12.5-alpha
✅$ make install
✅$ make go-install-cli
✅Configure litd
✅$ mkdir ~/.lit
✅$ vim .lit/lit.conf
✅Migrate config. Copy any important config from ~/.lnd.conf to ~/.lit.conf adding the lnd. prefix
✅Start up Litd (adjusting systemd files, etc as necessary)
✅Test $ litcli --network=testnet status
Sample Systemd file…
[Unit]
Description=Litd Lightning Terminal Daemon

After=bitcoind.service

ExecStart=/home/ubuntu/go/bin/litd litd

Fixation on status is one of the surest paths to misery. It makes you a slave to the whims of the world around you.
There is so much joy and freedom in being your authentic messy self. Your life doesn’t have to make sense to anyone besides you.
A question for the builders out there, specifically the application builders...
When you are experimenting with a new framework/library/repo, etc. what are your go to tools for testing it out and tinkering? What tools do you wish you had to make learning something new easy and to make building with it easy?
If US regulators were to drive the crypto industry out of the States, what jurisdiction would be the beneficiary?
