Here’s the dirty little secret of how the U.S. empire pays for all these wars

They don’t, we do.

The dollar is the reserve currency of the world

And the U.S. weaponizes it to exert influence on its empire.

However, as with all empires, their hubris eventually gets the best of them.

In 1971 Nixon ended the gold standard. This means US dollars cannot be exchanged for gold anymore. This effectively gave the politicians the power to create money.

This is important because Gold, for centuries acted as a balancing force restricting politicians from creating money out of thin air.

And as the saying goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Since then, the US debt has gone parabolic see?

From 1 trillion to 33.4 trillion and accelerating.

They finance their wars by issuing more debt in the form of bonds (treasuries) and the world buys that debt. Your country, your bank, your multinational company, etc, all hold US treasuries on their balance sheet.

I.e. all these entities lend the U.S empire the money which it uses to fund endless wars all over the world, including the current Israeli genocide in Gaza.

I know what you’re thinking, but if they can create money out of thin air, then they’ll always have money, and be able to pay off their debt. Kind of

Of course, the US won’t default, instead, they will print more money (increase the money supply) to be off their debt to you, bondholders (this is your treasury yield)

But when u create more of something, that thing becomes less valuable. This is the primary and only cause of inflation. Not Putin price hikes or any of that nonsense.

The chart of the purchasing power of the dollar since 1971 clearly shows its trending towards zero.

So they will pay you back in interest, but that interest will be less than the inflation rate, so in nominal terms, you’re getting more money, but in real terms, you’re losing money.

This is how every empire in history fell. Endless wars with money they don’t have.

The Romans shaved off some gold from their coins to create more coins.

The British faked interest in war bonds prior to World War 1

Holders of US debt, all these countries, banks, multinational corporations, and even rich individuals will have two options:

1. Get REKT in real terms, or

2. put their money in hard assets (land, commodities like gold, or bitcoin digital gold)
