That sounds right. I don't like this abstraction they use in pheonix. It is too easy to make a mistake with fees. I'd rather the tx fail than create a new utxo by default. Maybe i could find a better home for the sats.

Trying to create an account at npub.cash failed over lightning, in that it didn't acknowledge my payment. But it worked over cashu

I have also noticed with someone was when i paid for someone@npub.cash that the site didn't notice that i paid over lightning, but it did notice when i paid over cashu.

Why can’t I pay for coffee on the lightning network?

If the largest threat to Bitcoin is lack of adoption, why is there no visible progress in retail? Are there legal reasons in the US? What am I missing?

The goal is for bitcoin to become all of these:

medium of exchange, unit of account, and store of value

What difference does it make when the merchant just converts it into USD the moment you transact?

I don't know if this service is any better, but i thought i should pass it on

eNuts doesn't have a server component. This is why you must use https://npub.cash/claim and transfer from there to claim your sats.

avichand@npub.cash is for receiving zaps, not sending them. You can send from any client you wish. On my phone when i tap on avichand@npub.cash, and invoice gets generated on npub.cash server, and that triggers the client e.g. Android, iOS, etc, to open an app, e. g. eNuts so that i can pay the invoice

I doesn't seem like you know how lightning is received. It is commonly known that your lightning node must be online and available to the internet at all times. Your phone goes to sleep once locked to save battery, and it's not exactly exposed to the internet. It doesn't matter what app is your default app on your phone.

If you don't file then if you do get audited then you loose the benefit of the doubt when you are trying to prove your innocence. Remember that to the IRS, you are guilty until proven innocent. So if they think you are evading taxes, then had you filed at least you could claim you tried, but fucked up.

Once you have sats in eNuts then you can send from there. As far as setting your default lightning wallet, iOS should give you a choice to choose the lightning wallet you want to use for that instance. You should not set a default.
