Forbes also just put out an article about Brazils bitcoin Beach & the Virunga National Park mining story a few months ago
Forbes > NYT
That NYT anti-bitcoin mining misinfo piece highlighting Texas miners comes out at a suspicious time...
Senate Bill 1751, which drastically restricts Bitcoin mining ops, is coming up for a vote in TX Senate π€
Does #[3] know about your new vanity address?

(totally undoctored, no haze put in, nuh uh)
How sweet revisiting all the old haunts (28k, 38k, 48k, 58k), but in reverse π₯
Dear Greenpeace, Warren, & NYT: thanks for all the attention to our unstoppable freedom money
There's no such thing as bad publicity for Bitcoin, especially as the halving approaches & number goes up
WHOA WHOA WHOA, WHAT! That's really neat!! I saw them last year in Peru too, but we were on a tour boat and no one thought to jump in π

Bitcoin is living rent free in Greenpeace's & NY Times' heads π€πΌ
Incredible experience! Humbling for sure
I'm hopeful for a whale encounter - every few years a while comes into Howe Sound, π€πΌ
It was STRESSFUL. I'm like, dude, we need to keep a low profile to not attract them to us in case they're territorial π€¦ββοΈ. But he kept barking, & then he fell in, then I've never paddled so hard in my life to get us outta there π
As it we're in a bull market (PUMP IT UP), I got a paddleboard! (Yep, prepping for a wallet accident, iykyk ;)
Took it out today, despite the cold & boy did we have an adventure! We entered a cove to a herd of sea lions... my fear level bumped to the same level as when a huge bear came out of the bushes at me last summer.

Ofc this goober fell in in the excitement (& knocked my camera in the water - yay for straps). He got hoisted in & we hightailed it outta there!
Felt so exposed on the ocean being so close to a pod of sea puppies (sea lions are BIG), despite being fairly close to shore. I can't imagine coming across orcas on a paddleboad! π₯
To more adventures this summer, but perhaps a bit more tame π
I'm writing a dystopian novel where the authoritarian government has:
- Removed the ability of citizens to transact privately w/ physical money; Panoptic digital $ must be used
- Banned certain industries from accessing the Panoptic banking system
- Banned some uses of state energy & what technologies can plug in based on what the gov decides is "wasteful"
... Naw, too dystopian, it would never fly
Two hit pieces by NY Times on Bitcoin this week:
Bitcoin miners being able to shut down so hospitals can stay on during peak events is BAD. [Direct hit]
El Salvador getting rid of violent gangs is BAD. [Indirect hit]
MSM is working overtime to spread misinformation & distrust about freedom money & places of refuge
