Now THIS is a mighty Docker Compose file, alright. o.o https://github.com/wazo-platform/wazo-docker/blob/master/docker-compose.yml
Now to add Grafana, and I can start deploying Telegraf for stats gathering all over the place.
This cluster is coming along _very_ nicely now, once I got my storage issue solved. I still haven't mounted all the other ones I have yet to mount but... I'll get there.

Fuuuuuuuucking fiiiiiiiiiiinally!

This little shit cost me FOREVER. If you plan to do NFS mounting in Kubernetes, do check out the NFS SubDirectory CSI. It is not just actually good... BUT. ACTUALLY. WORKS.
One of the few helm charts that just installed.

I run services for which no kubernetes helm chart exists.
Well... guess it's up to me! xD
For instance, this boi has none: https://github.com/processone/ejabberd/pkgs/container/ejabberd
Im actually surprised. o.o
Finally home!
omnomnomming my way through my fridge like Pac-Man chasing ghosts; then it's time to absolutely SHUNT Dendrite.
I got it to start by deleting the NATS store outright; no idea what possibly broke. But, whatever. I don't care too much at this point...
They will all go into my Kubernetes cluster in the long term...so it's dynamic between my nodes.
I am going to look into making my toy idea ResolutIM a real deal and see if I can possibly implement puppeting support. strfry is ultra lightweight and all that would be needed to have a ResolutIM server. Im so done and fed up with messengers, holy shit. Matrix is driving me crazy in ways I can not express in words. It's corpofication has driven me mad. I was an early adopter, very early. My first server was in late 2019 with Synapse. But fuck this shit, i am out. Moving to XMPP in hopes that EU's cross-messaging legislation and the existing announcements of XMPP being used with Telegram and friends will lead to me being able to just selfhost my messaging and be less dependant on those pieces of shit as possible. So, so fed up. Just done.
Massive, maaaaaaaaaaassive throwback seing that GUI.
Found this: https://sr.ht/~nicoco/slidge/
Well... let's go! :D
Dendrite uses NATS. And when NATS says its out of resources, Dendrite implodes.
But what resources?
It won't tell you. At all. Im so done. Pissed as fuck about the whole Matrix situation as it is, but this is it. I am migrating away from it this afternoon, period. Fuck this shit, I am OUT.
Overslept.
Woke up to half my services on my VPS being dead.
Matrix is no longer starting, Dendrite is stuck in JetStream having "insufficient resources".
Fuck this day. x.x
Such an absolute tune! <3

I have just been told such a funny story, I kinda need to share it with yall.
So a workmate just told me about how they have a big server rack in class for learning purposes. Old hardware and stuff, literally takes days to boot, so it is just never turned off. However, during one school vacation, someone did indeed inplug it. Aside from the server needing days to come back up, a spider died.
Turns out the class had called the spider Herbert and it lived on because it was warm in the shelf/rack/thing. But when the server got unplugged, the spider froze to death xD. 'twas winter vacation too when it happened.
Just imagine: A class of grownups, naming a spider, that just exists in a server shelf, and dies because the server goes out.
Had such a good laugh at this, its so adorable somehow.
Herbert the spider! /\(oo)/\
Also, _MAD_ shoutout to the r/selfhosted community over on Reddit. If you need #kubernetes resources, there's a crapton of them right there. It's amazing O.O

So, after fucking around a wee bit more, I can go to bed knowing that I am, in fact, not stupid.
It turns out that the TrueChart - and possibly other forks/deriviations - of the NFS CSI driver set node-selectors "incorrectly". It could also be a k3s quirk, who knows. Either way, look at this, and closely so:

You will notice that there is no value after the equal sign. So... When you set controller.runOnMaster and .runOnControlPlane, this gets generated. HOWEVER, there should be a `=true` instead of an empty value! k3s compares them, from what I can tell, exactly. So, since my node has this as `=true`, the nodeSelector should _also_ be `...=true` - which, it is, in fact, NOT.
This son of a fucking bitch took me a day to "debug". I have a feeling k3s and kubernetes will be one heeeeeeeeeeell of a ride xD

I'm yet to continue working on this but will soon have time to add more images and charts

nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr Sorry for pinging you in a random conversation - but, since you recently asked for feature requests and alike, I just wanted to let you know, that this particular answer actually never showed up in Primal for me - but it did in Amethyst. :)
Thanks and have a nice day!

Yo this is super cool! Will use this as a reference point for learning how to make charts.
After being absolutely cooked alive by a single dude in an issue ticket for "too many user errors" (... which were caused by lackluster documentation, but whatever ...) I am probably going to start to make my own - for normies, that weren't born with the ultimate wisedom XD. So references like this are amazing, I know most nostr software, so this makes for a great reference point.
Thanks for building, and sharing!
Wanna see an example of an asshole on Github? Well, not like they're hard to find, but, have a read and facedesk.

linuxserver.io was my go-to for Docker Compose.
But TrueCharts is my goto for k3s. Holy shit, their library is BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG O_O
