Monthly subs are perfectly fine, the incredibly important point is: there should be no fixed amounts. If you want to support someone with 1 Sat per month or with 50.000, should not make any difference. We have the possibility to implement this, we should use it.
I am not a programmer and not a network expert. But could you not build a kind of "decentralized pool"?. A kind of Wallet in which every Nostr user can send sats on a voluntary basis and which then makes proportional distributions to creator?
