This is the sort of gaslighting common to Nostr, which has happened -- repeatedly! -- to myself and my friends.

Stop telling us to not believe our lying eyes, and demanding we somehow prove to have expert knowledge, when simply pointing out that something we have been sold as a product is terribly broken and should be fixed.

This is the "If you have never grown potatoes, why do you expect potatoes to be edible and complain when they are rotten?" argument.

Perhaps, we should be asking the opposite: "If you do not know how to grow an edible potato, but you insist on growing them and selling them at market, why do you never take the time to learn how to grow an edible one?"

It is not difficult to learn. Google it.

I suppose you think all forms of product reviews that exist in the world should be illegal unless the person reviewing has created an equal or better product themselves, right? Nobody is allowed to say anything is bad unless they prove that they can do better first in your mind?

Maybe you should provide an example of some software you wrote first that we can use as a benchmark to gauge if your responses here have any merit. If you haven't written something better, how is it fair for *you* to ask someone else to provide that?

Another person can take classes and learn techniques, but it’s not the same!

The person blessed with *NATURAL* Artistic Skills are far better and so are their creations.

The abilities of creatively gifted Artistic people will show up when they are just a child!

i have had many hours of conversation with a very talented Artist & Musician about this and he thinks anyone can learn artistic skills and also produce just as good art.

The quality of almost all Nostr products is so bad, that it feels malicious at worst, incompetent at best. I don't even know how it's even POSSIBLE, to produce software this bad. They must go to "How to build confusing software that doesn't work" lessons, or something.

Now, you know, why users run away.

Stop asking this question, like you don't know this.

It's obvious. The software is generally really crappy software, and that has nothing to do with the protocol and everything to do with the programmers.

Nobody gives a damn and it shows. Your contempt for your users is obvious and they're like "Right back atcha, buddy."

Unfortunately, the people I see are usually not happy to see me, so dark humor is a coping mechanism. I get to see pretty much every type of person and bizarre situation. Foreign bodies that people like to stick up their butts. One of the funniest encounters was a dementia patient that clearly must have been a pimp or something at some point. He would tell us about how he had to beat the shit out of people for getting rough with his girls.

There's also a lot of really sad shit mostly. Lots of drug use, homelessness, and mental illness (usually at the same time). I've been called every bad name there is, and have been explosed to almost every fluid in the human body. I once had a gun shot victim thrown over the counter of my waiting room after which his masked "friends" took off. Gangs are getting worse. CPR on a baby while the parents scream and cry was the worst experience so far, but you always know there can be worse.

I get to see a lot of the effects of fiat, actually. Degrading food, care, and increasing shortages in healthcare.

It's been a wild, interesting, fun, miserable, enlightening, and dark experience that I am somehow thankful and not thankful for. I've had several "defining moments" as Dr. Phil calls them.

I get to meet really old people too, which has been mostly nice. Learn lots. I had a conversation about calculus with a dementia patient a while back who was what we call pleasantly confused. Turns out he was a Math professor and he lit up when I started talking about my love and hatred of mathematics. It's a joy to see people briefly come back to reality.

24” x 30” Mixed Media Canvas Update: laying it on thick tonight

Used the palette knife to lay down a layer of black-purple-silver acrylic paint on the rest of the dragon body. Carved scales using the back end of a pottery tool.

Lighter colors are we get further into the distance. Also slightly smaller scales.

Needs to dry over night, then I’ll go in with the gold paint pen to highlight the scales.

White paper on the left is a diagram to make sure I drew the scales in the correct direction on each segment.
