GM, watching #BTC climb back 99k. I know most of you are Bitcoin Maxi's. I do think there is room for other POW coins.
Lightning transfers instantly across the lightning network, so that speeds up the historical slowness of native BTC. I do think that the Scrypt protocol (#LTC and #Doge will play an important role going forward, so I watch these coins closely.
First DOGE is more like fiat as there is potentially unlimited supply, but with a caveat. The supply needs to be mined. Does that cause inflation within the chain? Maybe. Still it needs to be mined.
LTC is interesting as it transacts much faster that native BTC and it has limited supply. I think this coin is often undervalued and overlooked. There is some big support in the mining community for litecoin. I think it's worth watching and it is affordable to be a whole coiner.
We #zap here and we keep #sats in our lighning wallet. Keep in mind that the speed of these microtransctions are off chain until we move them on chain.
It is possible that lightning gets more adoption and that is one of the main tenants of #nostr, but ultimately it is off chain.
I don't believe in proof of stake because POS has another meaning in my mind. I generally won't take small amounts of ethereum because the cost is too great, and I'm a bit suspicious of Solana. Standing up large nodes has drawbacks. I think Solana is better than Ethereum, but it is still POS.

I see 11 countries represented. Although many of these coins are pre euro, some sovereignties have kept their currency. Can you name all the countries? I'll give a head start. Two of the countries are playing hockey in Beantown tonight.

GM, looks like I'm a two fisted drinker today.
I have two of these. They work well. I keep an ambient chick warmer, food and water in the box and I cover it with a couple 4x3 modular fencing panels. After 6 to 8 weeks, they need to be moved to their coop or a larger container.

The trails are snowy and icy. The roads are not much better. It's snowed a few times in the last couple weeks. The last storm ended in ice and freezing rain, so there is this glaze of slickness atop the snow.
The ice reminds of a time when I was a kid and we got 1/2 to 3/4 inch of ice on top of the snow it froze and glazed over thickly. The ice was solid enough to skate on. The kids in the neighborhood spent days skating to each other's houses and throughout the woods and greater area. Haven't seen that much ice atop snow since. That was a storm just prior to the blizzard of 78.
Trudging through the #natchaugtrail on foot takes a bit longer. There are areas that kinda hold my weight, but mainly I fall through the ice and sometime my toes get caught on the icehole trying make the next step.

Even the dogs dislike this icy layer. I just cut all their nails so it is harder for them to get a grip. They slip and slide while trying to squat and do their business.
It's hard to imagine that I will be trout fishing here in a couple months.
